It's Leona's birthday today (at least in my time zone)

So what would I do (maybe others would too? Idk I'm just eepy today and want to love the lion) for this lion? To make his day better since he speaks about his youth and life so poorly.. don't even get me started on his ch.7 dream... In no particular order. Some are more indulgent than others!

Leona is getting a massage with the oils he loves. Not a grabby one, but for his enjoyment and peace. Lion deserves to experience safe, loving, gentle touch without having to worry for a day about performing or that someone feels entitled or is assigned to touch him for royal duties. (I would appreciate that too but the world is a cruel place)

Leona gets to have his braids done while he's resting in a lap from his late night fixation on his latest book he's consumed by. If he wants to share, he has ears to listen and lips that will smile and ask questions.

Leona gets his favorite dishes (meat on meat with maybe some seasoning?) I recalled in his homelands event that he likes a smoothie/juice drink and mentions it so maybe that as well for him. He doesn't seem as opposed to fruit as to vegetables 😂. This makes me happy cause I'm a Frugivore so we could eat together and share a meal!

Leona gets to play chess or have rematch with those who played with him on previous birthdays to see how they have improved in strategy and wit. This lion loves supporting those he cares for and those that make an effort to grow I notice. Subtle of course and round about but he's so soft for those who treasure him back. Not sure if I would be a stimulating challenge but I would try to outwit him.

Leona who isn't too fond of loud celebrations, but still shows up cause he knows it matters to those who care for him, he always returns the favor in his own Leona way. Cue the deflecting lines and affection averse huffs.

Leona gets so many gifts, but his favorites are the ones that are deep, not always gifts or objects even. But the ones that show memories of a year spent together either in classes, Savanaclaw or Spell Drive. Those moments where he mattered and made a difference to the point others remember him for it matters!!

Leona gets soft for passionate effort that comes from the heart. Did he say he'd take anything we gave him this year? How sweet is he to say that. How trusting but more than anything he knows we think things through. I would melt to know he has such trust in me and knows there's a reason behind what I would give him, even if it takes him time to figure it out.

Leona who loves local stuff from his homeland (The Sunset Savannah or the AfterGlow depend on translation) and his lounge wear, and oils are made and from there. He's always talking up his home and sharing it's rich bounty with us by using it and not just telling us. Talking about putting your money where your mouth is. (I would personally ask him if he'd like to supervise me from a couch as I bead some jewelry on the carpet at his feet, chatting about what each color means, what string is best for different types of jewelry and what are closed practices for each type of Beastfolk in his homeland. Can you tell I just wanna sit and be with him?)

Leona whose humor is complicated but clearly capable of producing laughter with the right group. Those who know him get it. And he loves it.

Leona who gets to drive in his jeep without a care, the wind in his face and the world flying by around him. How relaxed and at ease he seemed in his homeland event it really makes me wonder just how therapeutic driving is for him and maybe why he kept it secret for so long. He's protective of his space maybe? Or maybe he's just razzing us all 😂.

Leona gets kisses if he wants them. on his cheeks, forehead, temple, hair line, eyelids, jaw (good thing he's a religious shaver cause I get uncomfortable too with stubble. It's too rough!).... Leona who gets to nap and read with his legs tangled in mine as we sit on opposite ends of a couch, looking over at each other fondly and maybe sharing some details from what we read to get the others opinion and thoughts to add to our own.

Leona who recognizes those who genuinely like him and not what he represents, can give, or even his appearance. He knows just by interacting who is who and what is what. He knows who's genuine and who's just in a phase. Yes his self esteem demon is a problem but he's aware of his weakness and is capable of separating his feelings from his observances of others. So he knows who genuinely is there to celebrate his birthday and who's there just cause of obligation or hidden motives (Maybe that's why he doesn't like Azul too much lol).

Leona who doesn't expect to have a pinky slide against his as he stands gazing up at the stars of the Savanaclaw dorm after the party. The instinct to withdraw strong but he feels it out and realizes that hand isn't there to take, or demand, but to offer with gentle space, to just be beside him with no expectations. It even withdraws after a moment to let him think and just be aware of its presence. He gets to choose where things lead tonight. No expectations.💕
