The only thing I've ever known is the fight. There's so much we've done. So much more to do. But I want to believe there's hope. That together, there's hope. Isn't there?

For the longest time, we were just fighting to survive, trying to get back what we lost. This family, my family, we would do anything to protect each other, and we're fighting now for something else. Something bigger. A new beginning. But that comes with a cost. There's always a cost.

Sometimes I wonder if it takes more courage to live or die. We've all done things to still be here. Things we'd like to forget. We became whoever we needed to be. But who we are now, the choices we make now, maybe that's all that matters.

I've heard a lot of stories about when the world fell. There were more dead than the living, and it started to look like the world would go cold. It felt like it was almost there. Almost. Some people survived by connecting with each other. Making found families. Others gave in to the darkness. That was a long time ago. And it's now. Will it be tomorrow?

We're doing this all wrong. We survived everything for what? To keep fighting and killing each other?

Darkness is heavy. Some of us carry more than others because we're strong enough to hold the weight. But we make the light.

I am gonna make absolutely certain that everybody knows exactly who and what you are.  Okay. And who or what is that, exactly? The villain? The boogeyman? Or the best goddamn thing that ever happened to you? You're right, Eugene. I did lie to you. Just like you and your friends lied through your teeth to get inside these walls. But who's keeping score, right? So, I did what I had to do to get you here. And you know what? You should be thanking me for it. It's not my fault you people are too stupid to know a good thing when it landed in your laps.
