harry and sonny had a joint warmup routine before games. sonny would sprint down to the touch line and then walk back and he and harry would clap hands and hug near the centre circle. they had a joint mini bus they drove to training. they had a handshake they would do after a goal combination which quickly turned into sonny just jumping into harry’s arms. after every single goal. harry, famously a man of few words, would talk about sonny at england camp. he wanted sonny to play golf with him. when we made it to the champions league final he made a beeline for sonny on the pitch and picked him up and twirled him around in a hug despite his fucked ankle. he wanted sonny to smile as much as possible. and you want me to be normal about them
