So, let's talk TURNIPS! Turnips are root vegetables that have WAY less carbs than potatoes, and are members of the same plant family as cabbages, kale, broccoli, and cauliflower. They are a great source of vitamin C, fiber, potassium, manganese, calcium, and vitamin B6. A medium sized turnip has 5.8 net grams of carbs (8 total carbs - 2.2 grams of fiber). So, if you're getting bored of mashed cauliflower, these make a fantastic "mashed" option. I love throwing them in soups as well, such as chili or stew! P.S. This is my favorite new sweatshirt HA! #turnips #lowcarb #lchf #ketogenic #keto #weightloss #weight #mashedpotatoes #carbs #paleo #atkins #fitness #turnipforwhat
