#tumble bots

I am going to make this quick given I am on mobile but I have noticed that the traffic for my blog has kind of stopped. Most of the notes I get are from bots (on average 20 bot notes per 1 genuine note) and I think due to this: my posts are getting lost in the æther. Idk if you guys are even seeing them. Im not saying you have to interact with my posts to enjoy my blog. But I've felt as of late the overabundance of bots might be hurting my ability to have my posts seen.

If you are a history buff, work in a historical field, or just happen to like the content I post please interact. My page is also an inclusive space for LGBTQ people, people with disabilities, and minorities so if you are one or more of those please interact as well.

I finally managed to make a thing on unity!  Despite being obsessed with game design for the past few months, I never actually had my shit together enough to make anything cohesive.  UNTIL THIS DUMB THING!

Tentatively, I'm going to call it Tumble-Bots (no relation to tumblrbot, just a happy coincidence).  It's a retarded fighting game, and I don't mean retarded in the offensive sense, I mean it literally as a genre title.  You play as a blocky little robot, and must fight another robot with only the ability to fall over and roll around like an idiot.  

To control your bot, you use the arrow keys to determine which direction he will roll, and fighting is accomplished through four red limbs which flail around wildly.  Connecting a limb with your opponent causes chunks to fly off their body, and knocks them back.  

A surprising amount of strategy goes into the gameplay!  Simply moving around is a trial, since rolling in any direction depends highly on how you are currently positioned.  The real goal is to knock your opponents limbs off, which can only be done by mastering the controls to execute clever spinning attacks, and guarding your own limbs at the same time.  Sometimes you even get lucky, and can knock your foe completely out of the arena.  

I guess you could say this is in the almost-alpha phase of development.  I'd love to get a working demo up soon!  It's really quite fun to play.
