The color pink is ‘the color of universal love of oneself and of others’. Pink symbolizes girlish innocence, sexual purity, harmony and inner peace. Yet in Mean Girls: The Musical, pink symbolizes so much more than this - the Plastics wearing pink furthers the idea of a social facade existing within the hierarchy. The Plastics are manipulative, cruel and promiscuous, but present themselves in pink to play up a qualities of innocence and purity. Through using the color pink, Mean Girls reveals the hidden dangers interwoven within what society deems to be ‘normal’ - ‘don’t be fooled by the pink, she is not playing dolls’.

This is exactly why I have decided to make my outfit center around pink! We, as women, should be embracing whatever WE love and wearing what makes US comfortable! In a bizarre way, my study and exploration into the complex character of Regina George has given me a newfound confidence not only in my talent and abilities - but in myself. In how I look, how I present myself and how the opinions of others mean nothing in contrast to what you think of yourself.

I would like to reach out to Kurt Hummel { @porcelainbird }, and make a personal show of gratitude! What I asked for was a makeover in order to feel PREPARED for the role of Regina, and what Kurt delivered was a makeover of the body - and of the mind. Your passion for fashion is infectious, and pushing aside our differences in order to embrace our interests in common! You are a genius! 

There is nothing more exciting than using personal experience in order to influence acting choices, and I am thrilled to be attending Blaine and Santana’s Birthday Party - this is a perfect opportunity for us ALL to put aside any differences or animosity and have a wonderful time before the seriousness of Regionals begins to kick in. I wish the happiest of birthdays to Blaine and Santana (I’ve placed your gifts in the post!), and I hope everyone has the best time!
