Patroclus washes his hands after having a shower.

jack had told him it was a good book. hell, it had way too many reviews all screaming about how amazing this book was. and dean? well, dean liked greek mythology—loved it as a kid. so much that he even memorized stanzas of the odyssey and the iliad, unable to help himself, getting lost in the tales of heroes.
so he’d bought the damn book, the gold leaf of the helmet on the cover of the song of achilles glinting cheerily in the sunlight and into his eyes as he drove back to the bunker in a daze, eyes still unseeing. the world was a little more grey without cas. and the book well, it was a chance to forget himself. the same way he did, once upon a time as a kid.
the book is good, dean decides, leafing through the pages with a delicate hand, losing himself in elaborate descriptions. achilles and patroclus, they dance in the golden sunlight, laughing and making music in a carefree sort of way. and then…
“name one hero who was happy.”
he loses focus on the page, on the words, as his mind drifts to a faraway place from ancient greece to a place somewhere much closer and much sooner. he skims the rest of the paragraph, waiting to get to the answer.
“you can’t.”
and he finds himself so terribly lost in the words that he doesn’t even realize he’s crying. cas. cas was a hero, he’d saved him and the entire world. multiple times. he’d saved dean, by saying that he was finally happy.
but… how could he have been? his story ended in tragedy, leaving a twisted, broken heart and an anguished soul in its wake.
at least he is remembered. he is remembered and will not be forgotten. his name will live on with all other heroes, dean thinks trying to console himself. he bites his lip and tastes salt. cas won’t be forgotten.

I am SO glad you asked 💁♀️. Ford Mustang Fastback - preferably one of the older models. Don't really like the new ones after 2016.
Anyways I always squeal when I see a Mustang driving by since they're not THAT popular in Europe. But popular enough that several of the newer models are driving around in my city. Even an older one right around the corner! Has been my favourite and dream car for a few years now.
