And YEH i was thinking some more and in the spirit of moominvalley i think it’d make sense for none of them to have any legit jobs actually slsjsbdnsk like mikuri is just part time oceanographer because he likes the sea and ocean but really hes kind of idle most of the time just having tea and stuff. Same for manon’s parents or guardian like they own a ‘library’ but it’s really just that they receive books and lend it to ppl? Sometimes they get books because of a request? And they dont charge shit because library but also because no one charges much for anything in the valley in general. Daigo came to the valley from the outside and everyone knows he was RICH but whatever did he do - no one knows and now hes just hiking to the mountain alone to dig? As a one-man party? And Alan kind of daydreams, neither he or manon have a fixed activity but alan likes to help out professor Platane whos into research about ecosystems and stuff Manon runs around with friends and wrecks havoc Both help around the valley in their free time Manon delivers books to Mikuri sometimes to have tea Mikuri COULD absolutely be a guardian of something but guardian of what i have no idea yet
