There was a water drain in the middle of the floor. No one fully knew why, or rather, mainly speculated the worse. Bular did enter in the office, and considering the lack of much decoration, and the smooth surfaces, it was probably very easy to clean. The environmental story telling that left much to, that weaver of horror known as, The Imagination, made Groe gulp as she noticed her ears stretching for any tell-tale signs of very heavy stoney footprints.  //

A full body shudder followed and Jim felt a little more ‘Back In His Body’ not that he knew what that meant, but would certainly later discover more about. ”Hey, Toby?”  “Yeah Jim?”  “…do you believe in ghosts?” "H-hey..Jim?”  “..yeah Toby?”  “Do…do you believe in dejavu? Whoa! Easy on the Capri sun dude!” Amicably he pats Jim’s back.  “H-hm?”  “You know…that, that feeling of-this all happening before?”  “This all happening before.”  “This all happened before.” Whispered a voice no one heard.  “Yeah!” Nodded Toby cheerfully, “that!”

The soul is a thing of magic that all things have - not so much elastic as it is mailable, changeable Not in the way of clay But like water.  Sometimes gaseous.  Sometimes solid. Sometimes liquid. Full of potential, for good for folly for horror. If Angor had given himself time to reflect, the lingering particles of his souls, that witch still attached to the parts of Angor that made him think, plan, construct, move, and maintain base emotion (in this case anger and revenge most foul) - if Angor had instead used that energy to take a nap, or construct something else…he’d have found those particles that made of the soul and impulses him forward would refill and reshape itself to being Angot Rot once more. He was free. He was free for the first time in centuries and the poor troll didn’t know how to cope who to turn to - freedom can be a terrifying thing.

For Two Pisces in Alto Mare 

Sorry this took so long, anon! I was actually pretty stymied on a potential design and put off working on it for a bit to let design ideas simmer in my mind. Though I don’t think something like this would happen in the new timeline, thanks to Jim actively working against it, it’s a cool opportunity to do some design work. 

Since I’m basing Toby’s Troll design off of the Krubera, I’d like to think a more beastly form would be similar to them. I also took inspiration from Jim’s canon beast form in that he’s more Trollish, but in a monstrous way. (He’s also got a tail but it’s pretty stubby so I couldn’t work it in here)

Okay, I’m gonna use my Pannoxi!Troll Jim AU because that already has Trollhunter!Toby, let’sa go!

I’ve revamped the AU since I first made it but I kept a part of how they met the same; Jameson (Jim) was helping by tagging along with a small group of trolls to scavenge for some human things above the surface, but got distracted by a strange looking cat. Following it, Jameson was led nearly right up to Toby’s backyard, where he came out looking for his nana’s cat that got loose. Toby sees the troll and while they’re both initially freaked out, both are really quite curious about one another, and end up keep meeting time and time again.

Jameson gives Toby a crystal pendant that matches one of his own, and through some magic, when one is held, the other glows softly (Trollish equivalent of those couples heart message boxes <3).

Jameson and Toby met a good couple months before Toby was chosen, and when Blinky told him and AAARRRGGHH!!! about the new human Trollhunter, Jameson was so confident that there were so many other humans, it couldn’t possibly be his friend. He was quickly proven wrong, however, when he, Blinky and AAARRRGGHH!!! go to see to the new hunter, and go up the same path he took to visit Toby. 

They both tried so hard to pretend they didn’t know one another, but Blinky and AAARRRGGHH!!! figured it out pretty quick. (”Jameson, we have known you since you were a small whelp. And neither of us are good liars, you got that from us.”)

If the stars ever align to make it so, I would like to return to the au and write more for it.  Realistically, though, I don’t see that happening anytime soon.  My writing focus for Trollhunters is currently solely on Piecing Ourselves Together.  I’m content with having that project be the only toa thing I’m working on.
