#3587 - Stylidium recurvum
Endemic to the Perth region of WA - no more than about 100km from the CBD, in fact.
Described by Scottish physician and botanist Robert Graham (1786-1845) in 1841, although his first encounter with the species wasn't in Australia -
'I first saw this species in the nursery of Mr. CUNNINGHAM, Comely Bank, near Edinburgh, where it flowered in a frame in May, 1840. In the month following, we received it at the Botanic Garden, Edinburgh, from Mr. HENDERSON'S nursery in the Edgeware-road, and at the same time from Mr. JACKSON, Nurseryman, Kingston, Surrey. It is indigenous to the neighbourhood of Swan River, [Western] Australia.'
