10, “I’m so hungry I could eat a— stop looking at me like that in public” for Tridad
I’M SO SORRY I MISSED THIS FROM LAST TIME GAH
A vacation, finally. A good honest to gods vacation. It was desperately needed for all of them, between the kids and their jobs they were all starting to feel a bit strained. Amenta had insisted that Noc take time off and that Marc do so as well, and when they did Iblis made sure the dance studio had a substitute for him in place. Currently, the kids were having the time of their lives with trusted babysitters while the trio had made their way to the coast. Warm beaches seemed like a good destination. Iblis had taken to a human form for the trip, and they had stopped in for supplies for the bungalow they had rented.
Iblis wandering off to collect junk food while Marc and Noc were stuffing the cart with enough meat and ice cream to feed a small army. Noc did another once over of the list Iblis had made, it all looked like it was going to make for an amazing dinner,
“I’m so hungry I could eat a— stop looking at me like that in public”
“Like what?”, Marc grinned widely
“You know exactly what..you’re going to get me into trouble one of these days…”
Iblis walked up carrying an armful of different flavored but all very spicy chips, “Is he teasing you again?”
“Always, and on purpose”, Noc shot Marc a disapproving look that didn’t hide the twitch of a smirk that tugged at the sides of his lips. Marc’s cheeky grin in turn only grew wider, “Damn right.”
Iblis sighed, dumping the bags into the cart before tossing his long braid over his shoulder, “Marc last time you did that the car came back with a dent in the hood…”
“Worth it.”
“Yes but this is a rental.”
“That’s not what you said when we took that trip to Sequoia National Park…remembeeeeeer?”
Iblis lifted his head from examining the groceries, his face flushing a deep berry red as he stared at Marc. Noc crossed his arms over his chest, “And what happened at Sequoia National Park?”
Marc opened his mouth but was quickly muffled by one of Iblis’s hands, “I’ll tell you after we check out. Now let’s get out of here before he gets any more ideas…”
