What were you doing this summer?

This turned out to be a longer explanation than I wanted, but I'm pretty emotional about it I guess. 

I was a Divorce clerk for about a month, which was pretty uncomfortable because my supervisor couldn't wrap her mind around the fact that I wasn't a practicum student, and thus knew nothing about the process of a Divorce file. (Had to learn a lot of stuff very quickly.) Then a files management clerk working on a project out in Bowness quit, so they sent me out because "Summer students often get moved around". I was super freaked. They told me on a Friday and I was to start on a Monday. They said they might bring me back in August if the project wasn't extended past July, but they promised to give better notice.  I went to the job, where the people were amazing and funny and we talked while we worked and listened to music and I moved skids (which is lifting, which was a nice change from the sitting-around of the courthouse) and it was amazing and life was perfect.  Until today, five minutes after the day was over, my supervisor got a call that they wanted me back. He told them my last day was coming up and it changed nothing. They tried to figure out an explanation but I was too busy failing at my attempts to not get sad about it to listen. 

So tomorrow morning, I'm getting up extra early to go back to where I started. The building where people don't keep promises and don't enjoy anything.

The Avalanche, Sufjan Stevens Red, Taylor Swift Heartthrob, Tegan and Sara If you had to choose a tumblr user as a roommate, who would it be? love of my life aka devan Have you drastically changed as a person in the past four years? yes What is your fondest memory from this summer so far? i have a lot of fond memories of this summer so i'm gonna have to say a few. i've loved hanging out with my friends like basically every day and watching teen wolf together on mondays and having fires at cory's and playing clue the office and settlers with them and stuff. my friends are pretty great. i loved going to mexico with my bestie/soul mate and seeing his family and stuff. i feel like they're my family too. it was really special to see his sister get married and hang out with his brother and sister-in-law and stuff. plus getting drunk on the beach wasnt so bad either ;) and ok tbh i really really love my job and the girls that i nanny for just the best kids ever and i love playing with them and making them laugh and baking cookies with them and going to the pool and stuff with them. i'm gonna miss them when i go back to school.  new questions:
