I was absolutely honored to make an author copy of Dirty, Flirty and Vindictive for WhatMurdah. Thank you for sharing this wonderful story with us!

As well as a gift for @ivmaruva and a trade with Michelle for the coolest Kindle book sleeve with a wand ribbon closure (peep the last pic). While I enjoyed Bloody, Slutty and Pathetic, I absolutely ADORED Neville and Pansy’s side story in it. So, when I saw 👀 they were getting their own story? to say I was elated is a gross understatement. 🥳

I followed along with DFV as a WIP and practically broke my screen mashing the notification email links🔗. This story has it all. Devoted, DBE badass plant 🌱 daddy Neville Longbottom who’s hunting down Death Eaters, a Pansy Parkinson who finally has a safe space to grow and blossom, electric conversation and high-stakes action.

I contemplated many versions, but ultimately decided upon this cover with a ton of Easter eggs, printed on lustre photo paper and covered with 1-mil soft touch laminate. It’s literally wrapped with vines to honor Hogwarts Herbology Professor/Nursery Owner Neville.

WhatMurdah is a genius incorporating delicious sights and smells into the story. Pansy wears a specific perfume for which I found Botanical prints to weave into the typeset: Coffee, Vanilla, Jasmine, Patchouli and Orange Blossoms, plus others reflecting story elements. They have their coordinating chapter and page number at the top. I also purchased a small bottle of the perfume and spritzed the book. 👃🏼

Glued double-fan method and used an Oxford Hollow to support the spine.

It wasn't easy to live with the memory of parents like his. The worst thing was that he had almost none of them. He clung to a smell, a shadow, a rustle that slipped out of the darkness of his memory. He wanted to think that they were fragments of the past.

People thought he had his father's charisma or his mother's skill. They were disappointed when they found out who he really was. A clumsy boy.

He liked to wonder who he would have been if his parents had still been healthy. It was a dream he had with his eyes open. He imagined a different boy. Not forgetful. Brave. Successful.

Neville was nothing like this imaginary boy. He was a ghost of what his parents had been.

He disappointed everyone and hated himself for it. He had a heart of paper. He was on fire.

He would have done anything to be different.

Alguns headcanons de Neville Franco Longbottom.

Neville possuí ascendência espanhola por parte de mãe: sua mãe, Alice Fortescue, filha de Florean Fortescue, é espanhola. Seu avô é um homem que preza pelas origens da família, vinda de Barcelona para a Inglaterra ainda no tempo de sua juventude.

Florean é um homem bom, gentil e amável com seu neto e com todos que o conhecem. Apesar de ser grande e de aparência intimidadora, é um doce de pessoa, com um coração tão grande que mal lhe cabe no peito.

A família Fortescue preza por sua identidade espanhola, e quando o jovem Neville nasceu, seu avô materno o intimou ainda bebê a aprender o idioma da família; Augusta achou o ultimato de seu parente desnecessário, mas nunca falou abertamente. Por conviver com a família da mãe, Neville possuí um leve sotaque espanhol, o qual alguns parentes sempre o cobram para perder e falar de maneira mais britânica — mas seu avô não se importa com seu sotaque, sempre dizendo o quão orgulhoso fica de ouvir seu neto falar o espanhol.

Neville se descobriu como não-binário aos doze anos, seus pronomes são ele/elu. Seus avós, tanto por parte de pai quanto por parte de mãe aceitaram muito bem, assim como os próprios.

Ele também se descobriu como bissexual em seus tempos de escola, tendo se envolvido com alguns de seus amigos e um aluno da Sonserina durante o seu sexto ano, quando frequentavam ambos as festas de gala do Profº Horácio Sulghorn.

Neville gosta de usar roupas trouxas, mais especificamente moletons. Mais possui uma paixão por peças jeans, as quais fazem parte de seu estilo: calças largas e jaquetas jeans personalizadas por ele mesmo, com desenhos de flores e vinhas pintadas a mão por todo o tecido.

Ele também possui uma paixão pelo artesanato, tendo em vista que personaliza muitas de suas peças de roupas, além de fabricar muitos dos acessórios que sua, como colares, brincos e anéis. Ele também gosta de fazer anéis personalizados para seus amigos ou pessoas de quem gosta muito em formato de sapos, com suas cores preferidas. Luna e Gina possuem seus anéis nas cores azul-claro e amarelo; Blásio Zabini possui um anel de sapo na cor verde-escuro, embora ninguém além deles dois saiba o porquê do Sonserino ter ganho ta honraria.

Ele também possui uma paixão por música brasileira/latina, sendo um ouvinte fervoroso de cantoras como Alcione e Marina Sena. Ele arisca cantar alguns versos de suas músicas preferidas, embora ambas as línguas (português brasileiro e espanhol) possuam similaridades entre si, continuam bem distantes uma da outra, acarretando momentos constrangedores em que músicas como “Ou Ela ou Eu”, “A Loba”, “Tudo Para Amar Você” dentre outras acabam sendo “arruinadas”

“Congratulations on the breakup Longbottom” Pansy slipped in to the opposing side of his table.

“For the best I suppose, I was a cover up for her and Pavarti and never knew it” Pansy’s eyes practically shot out of her head.

“Pavarti?” Neville nodded in confirmation, his butterbeer his current comfort.

“Well where are all your friends right now?” It may have been 8th year where most, especially Slytherin’s, didn’t show- but she was to surprised he was alone.

“They don’t know yet, it just happened” She reached over her hand on top of his a warm comfortable hand even though their houses were still enemies after the war.

“Are you planning on telling them? Or are you just going to mop into your butterbeer in hopes they find you?” She had a point, her magically-induced partner for every subject seemed to be on the verge of a breakdown (assumed) or something more in his eyes which she couldn’t tell.

“I’ll tell them later, I’m currently enjoying the company I have.” He looked at her with a solid look, eyes with mischief and a smirk on his lips.

“Is that the look that scored you Abbott in the first pace?” Pansy tried to show no emotion, further crossing her legs in emphasis that she was a lady, a heir to the Parkinson Manor.

“Mmmm maybe, is it working Parkinson?” Neville continued to look at her, seeing her slowly disappearing from lady to a simple school girl.

“Yes, unfortunately it does” She confirmed his thoughts.

“How would you like to go to Madam Puddifoot’s, and then back to Hogwarts for the real fun” His eyes blazed with mischief only a Gryffindor could hold.

“And what fun would that be Neville?” She asked him politely and they got up.
