You know I had really bad voice dysphoria before i started transitioning and I was soooo looking forward to having a “new voice” on testosterone but I’ve been watching a few older videos of mine and to a point, I don’t think my voice has actually changed all that much. Like obviously there’s some differences like I’m a whole new pitch now but underneath that like it’s still my talking patterns, my tone of voice, etc. Maybe this is stupidly obvious to everyone else like yeah dude that’s how medically transitioning works but honestly before my transition I got really caught up in the concept of a “new” me and that thought kinda scared me because I’d always worry that the “new” me would be a worse me than before but it’s kinda nice to be reminded that it really isn’t a new me, it’s just more of me. In the center of it all is still just me and nothing can ever change that. I like that. I like me :)
