With a broken, dry sob, Clint repeated himself, "Why?" "Because," came Loki's response, his voice raspy under the pressure of Clint's tightening grip, "you were the only one I trusted to be at my side."

This Story follows Clint from the moment that could have been his last, through learning how to deal with losing his arm, his mobility and most of the hearing he had left, and meeting Bucky, until he finds peace in what he has left instead of mourning what he lost.

Summary: Clint Barton wakes up in someone else's Tent with a hangover. It starts out as a mixture of anxiety and dysphoria... ...It ends as the best morning Clint had this festival season so far.

Summary: “I don’t know what you’ve heard but I’m really not into bondage on a first date,” Clint sneered. “You could at least buy me dinner or something.” He grinned, baring his teeth like a snarl. The smiley ones didn’t really like it when he was a smart ass, and maybe he could provoke the guy into making a mistake.

The dip of the bed next to him brought some form of relief and had Clint relaxing a little more into the mattress.

“Hey,” Bucky said softly, placing a hand against his side.

Clint uncurled a fraction: a signal it was okay for Bucky to wrap himself around him. He tucked in behind him, pulling the blanket tighter around both their bodies and wrapping an arm firmly around Clint’s waist.

He waited a moment, pressing a kiss against Clint’s shoulder and Clint knew he was going to ask. He only had to wait for him to break down and do it.

“Do you want to talk about it?” Bucky finally asked, breaking the silence.

Clint shook his head.

“Okay,” Bucky murmured. He rubbed his thumb against Clint’s stomach. “Anything else you need?”

Clint let out a breath and turned in his hold. Bucky snaked his other arm underneath the pillow Clint’s head was resting on. He leaned in and pressed a kiss against his forehead.

Clint’s eyes slid shut and he tried pressing closer, pulling a smile from Bucky.

He’d heard about what happened of course. Had to calm himself down when he’d gotten Clint’s emergency text that he needed him before he could reply or even hope of being in the same room as his boyfriend.

Clint didn’t need to see his anger. Not when he was already suffering from the comments some idiots had made about his gender. Steve had to stop him from hunting them down and giving them a piece of his mind. Or a bullet in their legs.

Bucky flattened his palm against Clint’s back and rubbed it back and forth, carefully trailing upward to check if there was anything under Clint’s hoodie. He wasn’t surprised when he felt the barely raised spandex that stretched across his back. It was going to be a struggle to get him to take it off when he needed to.

“You feel like a movie? Or are you hungry? We could order pizza,” Bucky suggested. “Where’s Lucky anyway? I’m surprised he’s not laying on top of you.”

Clint carefully ticked up two fingers on his hand and Bucky nodded.

“So Kate’s got him, hm? Well, since we’ve got the place to ourselves we could still have that pizza. Maybe get caught up on Dog Cops?”

The corner of Clint’s lips ticked up and Bucky felt more than a little relieved at that. He ducked his head for a real kiss this time, reveling in the fact Clint didn’t push him away as he might’ve done at one point in their relationship.

He pulled Clint tighter against him and they snuggled under the covers. For once the pizza could wait.

I guess I’ll have to now :D not that I’m complaining!
