So, I can’t take credit for “kicking” things off at the @nycruns Training 360 session this morning in Central Park. That goes to the man who walked up and tried to roundhouse me in the middle of the team huddled. I quickly realized that logic isn’t going work in that situation - plus it’s most important to keep our athletes safe, so it’s best to just move the group away from danger. Runners, especially you solo runners and/or runners with headphones - KEEP YOUR EYES AND EARS OPEN. You just never know what the other person is thinking, planning, or will do. I also hope the man is safe and gets the help he needs. But look on the bright side! That’s a one way to jump start our heart rates and blood flow so we really only had to focus on mobility during our dynamic warm up. After that, these everyday athletes with aspirations to complete their first triathlon and half marathon and run their fastest 5K in years crushed one of the most patient and beautiful tempo progression runs while navigating the bridle path I’ve ever seen or been a part of. Thank you for the miles, smiles, and inspiration squad! I can’t wait to kick off these workouts in Brooklyn! _ Photos by my c-coach @jmatzify 👊 #nycruns #training360 #grouptraining #winyourrace #everydayathletes (at Central Park) https://www.instagram.com/p/CR6rOhrHi4X/?utm_medium=tumblr
