Because blue is best colour. For those lazy training days, we have this blue set, built around Maya's latest quest rewards, those being the saddle pad and leg wraps. I had a difficult time choosing between the two boot styles, but ultimately went with the shinier ones in the end as they match a little better with the shine on the saddle. And allow me to address the elephant in the room in the form of another Gen 2 Arabian model... I do apologize, but he was the fella I was training at the time with a completed outfit so...

GENDER: (If you give your horses genders, of course) Any.

COAT COLOUR(S): Just about any... I wouldn't personally use it on a black horse simply due to the dark parts blending into the coat, but if you like that, then by all means go for it. :) Also probably wouldn't suit some of the Magic Horses' magical coats. One would have to experiment.

Lance was late. Which to be fair he never said he was ‘Mr. on time.’ thank you very much. What probably wasn’t good was he was late to get to one on one training with Keith. 

Ugh, he didn’t even want to do it. But they drew straws and guess who got the short one? Lance Alejandro McClain that’s mcfreakin who. In his defense, he wasn’t even late on his own behalf. He decided to be the bigger man (which he had at least an inch on Keith so literally as well as figuratively) and bring some space-capris with him. That was what he and Hunk decided they were: Space-capris. 

And who like space-capris? Everyone’s favorite mullet that’s who. So Lance stopped by the kitchen to grab a few. He was grabbing a cup of space coffee and okay it wasn’t his fault, but it kind of just went..everywhere! 

So here he was showing up late because he was nice guy, but was Keith going to feel like that? Nope. No chance. No way. 

Here I am, just a little over a month away from Escape from Alcatraz and I'm having a really hard time getting motivated to step up my training.

My original plan was to kick it into high gear in January so I was ready for Alcatraz as an A race. But after more thought, I realized Wildflower Long course in May should really by my A race as I'm completely terrified of it. I mean, I've only done 1 half iron (Big Kahuna) and it was nowhere near the difficulty of Wildflower. I also have a lot of respect for that course as it nearly killed me the first time I did it. And that was the shorter length. 

I figured it was a bit too intense to start a psycho training program now and risk being burned out when I really needed to step up the miles before Wildflower. But you know, I still need to train some. Which, to be fair to myself, I do between 5-7 workouts a week so that's not nothing (got that double negative?). But my runs are like 2-3 miles on a treadmill, my biking is all indoor spin and my swimming has only been 2x/ week 1,000-1,500 yards. Not something that's going to get me ready for Alcatraz. And I don't want to do more than that. I'm tired all the time, perpetually have at least 2 loads of laundry to do and damnit, I just want to eat junk food and lay around in my sweats! 

Turned out MMA last night was moved to an earlier time so the team could go watch Northumbria Boxing Team after traininng - So by the time I finished work it was to late to go. So instead, i tried to be pro active and headed to FSI to do an hour Strength and conditioning. I also agreed to go see a film with my Girlfriend and was therefore on a tight scheduel...and there was traffic making the trip and extra 20 minutes!

So I got there and only had 30mins really to train. Stayed positive, was all set to go. Got going...and quickly realised how bad I had gotten! 

First exercise set I always do is Pull-ups then Dips. When I first started at FSI a year ago, I could not do 1 proper pull up (full extension to chin above bar) but had gotten up to 3 sets of 10 - well 2 sets of 10 and one 6, then negatives. But last night, could barely do 2! TWO!!!....this is going to be hard.

Then with the lower body, Glute-Ham raises, when I started I was unable to do one properly. Kinda felt like I could not activated the muscle required when needed. After a month or so, I was bossing these, doing 3 sets of 8 no problem. Last night however, 3...then 2...then 2 again. RUBBISH. What have I done?

I have taken steps backwards, but I have the previous knowledge to make the needed forward steps quickly this time.

Today I had to choose between BJJ and work. I wanted to go to the gym because 1. I just wanted to; 2. I needed the workout; and 3. I needed to "practice" teach with someone before the all-girl class starts on saturday.

Today they distributed our payslips at work and I got a small raise. So after that....
