I remember the first time I saw Cynthia's battle sprite in Pokemon Pearl, and again as an adult in Platinum (I didn't really remember it much from when I was a kid, so it was like experiencing it all over again for the first time).
I was in total awe. This mysterious character, who had helped you a couple of times throughout the game, is this entrancing woman? I'm am pretty sure I had heart eyes for the entire battle 😂 And I still feel awe for her, a deep admiration and respect for her skills as a trainer. I think...I think maybe she stole a part of my heart that day, and will forever possess it 💛 I don't know why she feels like such a large, *important* character to me as a person with a Dawn fictotype, but I'm am hoping to explore this further by reading some fanfiction with her in it (if it exists...😭)!
Also...I remember feeling so shocked to see her again in Pokemon Black! She kicked my ass so hard in that game, I never tried to fight her again 😭😂

But on where to start, I’d read your source, and see if you get any memories. If you do, great! But if not, don’t forget, you don’t need memories to be kin. What I do personally, is that I write fanfiction about my kins to feel more in touch with them! Of my memories, or even just of the personalities I remember myself and my canonmates having.
