They're kind of cooking here!
Woke was always meant to mean you're aware of the world around you in the Injustice in it, until right wingers decided to use it as a dog whistle for basically anything they hate ie people of color, queer people, trans people, women, non-christians, the disabled, etc.
'Trad' & those who describe themselves as such practically tie themselves directly to regressive politics, misogyny, patriarchy, and white supremacy. The 1950s aesthetics & values.
What do you think, am I reaching?
Shared these on my IG stories before. Two others though I never shared and were done more recently than the first two.
I’ve been noticing my art changing these days and it’s really odd and off-putting for me cause I tend to be afraid of what that change might do and whether it’s gonna be a good one, but even so I think l’m pretty happy at least with the fact I’m starting to draw Caine a lot more like I imagined. I’ve wanted him to look like his age for a while now and cause I’ve started practicing some features now it’s sort of helped me achieve that somehow! The way I used to draw him I always felt it didn’t reflect where he was in terms of age but I’m just really glad now that somehow I like how it’s done now. I love Caine lots and I wanted to give him my best lol!!
OC and art belongs to me
So Trads like to blame feminism for women having to deal with the double-shift, you know having a full time job and having to do the housework, and for the miserable working conditions of the workforce.
And it’s like no, it’s Capitalism; work sucks because capitalism, people have to work long hours because capitalism, both partners have to work because capitalism, people can’t become homemakers because capitalism. It’s capitalism guys
And the double shift is not feminism going too far, it’s feminism not going far enough, because men haven’t learned to pick up the slack. If both the husband and the wife work out of the home, they both have to share equal responsibility of the housework, it’s only fair, but many men don’t share the burden of housework; or men could become homemakers while their wives work!
Anyway, the point is: you’re miserable because Capitalism, not because gender roles are more flexible now. Women were miserable back in the 50s, read The Feminine Mystique

Nobody hates women like terfs and radfems.
Trads and /pol rejects hate women too, of course, but at least they’re honest about it.
