hi jess!!

man, i thought it was so good. they've set up a LOT of really interesting dynamics so far. the dynamics i'm interested in so far are:

robby and langdon. robby's resentment, discomfort, disdain—borderline cruelty, i'd say—is SO delicious. he's angry and hurt and avoidant and it's so beautiful. i love meanness

langdon and louie. ack. two addicts, man. their interactions this season are already tearing me up.

jack and samira. for obvious reasons

trinity and langdon. she's going to expect so much resentment and bitterness from him and i honestly think he's just going to be awkward and thankful and i can't wait to see it.

dennis, trin, and garcia. their dynamics are just going to be fun, i think!

robby and samira. already there's something different about their dynamics this season. maybe an ease, or an understanding, or a camaraderie. whatever it is, it's there and it's fascinating.

jack and robby. my favorite codependent best friends. i'm very eager to see how they are when robby is not actively having the worst day of his life.

Hi lovely!! What an excellent question! 

First and foremost, I would give Billy a real therapist- one that is actually qualified to help him recover not only from his most recent injuries and trauma, but also from the ones that he’s been sweeping under the rug for 30 years. I would make sure that he had the opportunity to understand everything he did and everything that was done to him, because without that I think it’s really unfair to end his story, whether that’s with a death, a life behind bars, or some degree of freedom. He deserves to know who he is and what happened in his life, and that’s not something he was given in the show. 

Guilty pleasure? I would have LOVED to see a scene where Frank and Billy had to team up to fight, so if there’s any sort of scenario where that happens, that would be ideal. Like if they both woke up to the fact that they have both been repeatedly manipulated, and then just decided to take out Dinah and Rafy and Marion and whoever else is on the government hush hush committee. Then I’d let them go in separate directions and never see each other again. (... sort of like ISY... but unfortunately their paths are about to cross there again soon so...)

I think ultimately, the best end for Billy would have been one where he comes to terms with everything he threw away, everything he lost, everything that was done to him, and everything that he did, and then I would write him a moment where he could...not necessarily redeem himself (because that’s a STEEP hill to climb, Bill) but maybe a moment where he could do something self-sacrificing to let Frank get away or to help him on his never ending quest to smash every goon in NYC.
