If you drive past horses and don't say horses, you're a psychopath. If you see an airplane but don't point it out. A rainbow, a cardinal, a butterfly. If you don't whisper-shout albino squirrel! Deer! Red fox! If you ever heard a woodpecker and don't shush everyone around you into silence. If you find an unbroken sand dollar in a tide pool. If you see a dorsal fin breaking the water. If you see the moon and don't say oh my god look at the moon. If you smell smoke and don't search for fire. If you feel yourself receding, receding, and don't tell anyone until you're gone.

đ + What is Kumo's stance on humanity so far? Does he have a favorite thing about them?
âHumanity? Now thatâs a question if Iâve ever heard one. Iâm almost afraid to answer, because the humans can be quite... emotional. Some of them have proven to be rather touchy on some simply mundane subjects. Theyâre all so ... strange. Humans are strange. Theyâre quite odd honestly. Theyâre odd and emotional and I donât claim to understand them at all.Â
While I might look similar to a human, I am what would be known in their tongue as âHumanoidâ but I am not human, and really how arrogant is it to call things that look like them but are not them humanoid? I donât call them ihminen kaltainen. I personally find the word âhumanoidâ rather rude. Iâm sure you can see what Iâm getting at. Â
But they arenât all bad even if they are confusing. Theyâre confusing but I would never label them bad. Arrogant maybe but not bad. Humans do seem to have this unyielding sense of self imposed importance though. Somehow they seem to think the entire universe revolves around their Earth as if there couldnât possibly be anything else out there and if someone even looks like them slightly  they must be one of them. Theyâre rather naĂŻve. Â
It takes all kinds I suppose...Â
But Iâve met all kinds of them and I still think every one of them is strange. In their own unique way, they are all so very odd. Human culture and customs evade me. Their food though... if the humans have mastered anything it is cuisine. There is not a single thing I have been given from human cuisine that is not utterly divine in some way. If only Black Wind could take some cues...  Â
But I have met many humans and all of them are very different from one another. I keep saying theyâre odd but Iâm sure to them I am just the same. None of them have horns after all and their eyes look much more like Windarian eyes to me. Though, I donât think they quite have Black Windâs sight. Cid doesnât seem to anyway. I donât know about these Amestrians though... they all seem to be capable of strange magic I have yet to understand. Â
I canât complain about them. The humans I mean. At this rate it almost feels as though Iâm collecting them. I have gained so many companions in the passing days and nearly all of them seem to be human. I will give them that. Even after all the disaster thatâs struck them, the humans persist. They are a resilient species. Iâm almost positive that if for some reason Chaos wanted to wipe them out, even then somehow they would find a way to survive. So I drop my horns to that.âÂ
