Alright this is a stick up

If you’ve had your tits off with some panache in the greater Michigan/Indiana/Chicago area I want to know about it, see

I’ve got names, I’ve got places, I’ve got google, but now I wanna know if you’ve done the funny business there and got something to say about it

-your throat WILL be fucked up for a while afterwards. if you’re like me and they scraped up your uvula during intubation then it will be gross and you will feel like something is stuck in your throat. this is annoying; invest in throat numbing spray

-drains really are as shitty as everyone says. make sure they don’t get caught on anything because they literally go Inside Your Body and the feeling of them trying to rip themselves out is not fun to say the least

-pain pills are your besties <3 take them when your pain is at a 4 or a 5, don’t wait til you get to a 6/7 because then it will be too late and you will have to suffer for a while

-sleep and drink water! sleep and drink water. also if possible try to find a nice recliner chair to live in because the ability to lay back and be cushioned on all sides is a godsend

-you will be so stinky. they recommended not wearing deodorant the day of the surgery or for a while afterwards and you WILL start to smell. it is gross, i know.

It’s not that straightforward to generate a list, especially of private surgeons, as “the list of all surgeons who have done top surgery” is a lot longer than “the list of most popular surgeons”.

On the 16th May 2019 i attended my first top surgery consultation in North Manchester General Hospital where i met my top surgeon Dr Grit Dabritz.

We discussed my surgery option and came up with a plan. (I will be getting double incision!!)

My pre op assessment will be this July in Manchester and my surgery early 2020.

In July, the appointment consists of two parts over the course of a day. I would need to travel down early that day and travel back home later on that same day by megabus or train.

I have to travel down the day before surgery and book into my hotel (with a family member/friend). On the day of surgery i will be kept in over night and afterwards i will spend the next night in the hotel before going back to the hospital to have my drains removed. Then i will be allowed to travel back home.

Two weeks later i will travel back down to have my dressing removed.

Due to the tenderness of my wounds i would prefer to travel by train. Both after the op and when traveling back down for the post-op appointment.

I am on low income benefits as a result of disability and am currently homeless and staying with family temporarily. This is why i have started a crowdfunder to raise travel funds.
