I got to meet a bunch of TADC voice actors at ToonFusion this weekend!!

Everyone was so kind and so fun to talk to—I gave Amanda a drawing of Ragatha and Magikarp on Saturday and I’m pretty sure I made a fool of myself in front of them because I was so scared and starstruck, but I had no reason to be, they were super sweet 👍😂 I went back to their table with a group on Sunday so I could be braver and got some insights on their take on Pomni and Ragatha’s relationship, which was awesome.

Some highlights: talking with Lizzie about the fan songs, Amanda giving us a live demonstration of how to sound like you’re in a deep fryer, and learning that Marissa also voices Nidorina in Starter Squad!

The panel was fantastic as well; it was so cool hearing everyone get to talk about the finale, favorite ep 9 lines, what they hope people take away from the show, etc. This was just such a good weekend, so great getting to geek out with random strangers about this show we’re all obsessed with as well. What a time.

amanda is genuinely one of the coolest people I’ve ever seen. they were so kind and listened to my short little spiel to them, as I let them know that their message of “don’t be afraid to take up space” is something im trying very hard to work on. I got a selfie with them, trying to look cool and absolutely failing lmao, and they told me to try not to be so hard on myself and not to be afraid to be confident. that almost sent me over the edge, but I held it together. they are truly what I want to be in life after episode 8, I knew that I just needed to meet alex and let him know what caine and his performance as caine has done for me, how much it means to me. when it was my turn to talk to him, i very embarrassingly started to get choked up. I figured this would happen, but didn’t want to actually cry and look cringe as hell (well, more than I already did in my outfit lol). he let me babble on about my message to him, even if it was probably hard to hear from volume and aforementioned crying prevention. he seemed tired, didn’t say much, but regardless he listened and seemed to take what I said seriously. he probably hears this stuff all the time, but it still means so much to me I was able to let him know what he’s done for me. he told me that it’s important to know when you are the asshole in life, but what matters is accepting that and doing better. I was able to get his autograph and a picture with him, and I had a wonderful rest of the day.
