Not a huge video, but I wanted to try and post a bit more frequently, I've been a bit sick lately and also working on client stuff so this is a very small video, but I'll continue to record things as I work and post it here :) Fun facts about how I work in case anyone's interested : I use Toon Boom Harmony to animate, and Clip Studio Paint for backgrounds (I'll upload background speedpaints in the future). Tablet is a Wacom Intuos Pro Large. Flipping my canvas a lot during the sketch/inking has helped to keep my things on model a LOT. In Toon Boom, the pen brush will tend to appear thinner in preview mode than in render mode, so at the beginning I always click the render view to make sure my lines don't render too thick. I like to only sketch my very important key frames, and then I do all my in betweens as final inks directly, which saves me a TON of time. Having all the shade lines as part of the inks also helps keeping the shadow movements consistent. In Toon Boom Harmony, you can click "apply to all frames", so when you color one area, it'll color all the following frames. This only works on scenes like this where everything is close together tho. But that also saves a ton of time. When I make the background later, I'll adjust all the colors directly in my color palette and it'll change in the animation automatically. I also export palettes for every scenes, so when I animate another shot from this scene later, I'll just re import the palette file :)
