okay, but hear me out. how do we feel about hiccup/håkan having longer hair once he becomes chief? since hair was really important as a symbol of status in old norse customs, i am growing increasingly tempted to give him a lengthier hairstyle eventually. i love the idea that he used to cut it regularly with fishlegs and/or eret (he would not trust the twins or snotlout, and he'd honestly be a bit flustered asking astrid or gobber directly). however, he eventually lets his hair grow out, which also signifies him accepting his chiefdom. so the left picture represents when he's single (no promise braids or runes)ㅤ / ㅤthe right picture denotes when he has a partner (with promise braids, runes and other trinkets).

(for better or worse, that means no more of my absurd sleep schedule)

What a way to word it. I was able to recover his data chip while looking through the rubble of our old home. It took quite a while to rebuild him, though... especially considering most of my supplies were destroyed.
