My (Super Simple) Danmei Ref Master Post
This is currently all the refs I'm doing as these all danmeis I have currently read. I may do more in the future (also didn't include ALL side ships because I got tired)
Just a warning for those who want to avoid A/I art, https://www.tumblr.com/inklessdevotion (and their sideblog https://www.tumblr.com/glimpsesofheaventgcf) is an A/I user and a couple of their SVSSS posts have mildly blown up in the last couple of days, especially this "art" of Liu Qingge on a magazine cover:
Their pinned post (at least at the time I'm writing this) states that they use A/I, and some but not all of their posts are tagged A/I art or A/I assisted (and some that clearly were A/I are not tagged). They also have quite a few posts up for other danmei (other MXTX, Meatbun, Priest, QJJ, Thousand Autumns) some of which have also mildly blown up.
GOD I wish more Western books would take cues from danmei for how to write fantasy romance, danmei is like the only genre I’ve encountered that understands my ideal ratio of fluffy romance to body horror
Danmei has COMPLETELY wrecked my perception of slow burn because what do you mean characters in western novels get together at the end of book 1, babes they shouldn’t even be holding hands until AT LEAST book 3.
