୧(๑•̀ᗝ•́)૭tuesdays with tonirose: because i am a girl ୧(๑•̀ᗝ•́)૭
Hey guys, I'm going to keep the intro short, but basically this weeks theme is because I am a girl!
- Because I am a girl, I wear makeup to impress guys. I definitely don't wear makeup to make myself happy or to express myself! It's all about impressing the guys who see me everyday!
Unfortunately, this is what many men, and some women would assume. This is definitely wrong. As a girl who wears makeup, I can honestly tell you that I wear makeup because it makes me happy. I wear make up because I genuinely enjoy putting makeup on. Never have I woken up one morning and thought, 'hey, I'm gonna put on this makeup to impress guys!' Makeup is a way that I express myself. In some cases, it's a blanket and makes people comfortable. Unfortunately, because I am a girl, the makeup on my face is assumed to be me asking for attention from men.
- Because I am a girl my gender is used as an insult. It's definitely accurate because girls run slow, and they can't throw at all!
It angers me that my gender is used as an insult. I really don't think being called a girl is an insult at all! Think about it, women are pretty bad ass! (we can push babies out of our vagina's! holy butts, imagine the pain!) There are so many women in sports, and they can really do what the guys do. I don't understand where this insult came from because women can run, throw, play sports as good as, and sometimes even better than men!
- Because I am a girl my clothing choices are more important than my education! Being sent home or being shamed for wearing certain clothes is a really good thing because at least the guys won't get distracted!
This angers me so much. It's seriously so messed up that I can't show my shoulders, or I can't wear this and that. It's so unfortunate that women have been shamed for their clothing choices. It is even more disappointing that it has gotten to the point where women shame women. I think we have grown up in a time where we end up judging what people wear in our minds without putting much thought into it. It really makes me frustrated when people 'slut shame.' I don't find a use for it. All it does is bring a girl down who is obviously confident! Why is it necessary to call her names? Why can't we just let her dress how she wants to? It's her body, her choice. Who are we to tell her what to and not to wear?
- Because I am a girl I will be the one held responsible if a guy ends up doing something to me. It was probably the clothing choices, right? Maybe the way I presented myself? Maybe it was just the way I looked? Whatever it is, it's all my fault for dressing that way, or for looking that way, right? I mean, how in the world could a guy control his body?!
Such a messed up concept. I don't understand why women are blamed for unfortunate things that happen to them. I don't understand why women get blamed. I don't understand why it is so hard for men to simply control themselves. I don't understand why women are looked down upon when these things happen to them. I don't understand why clothing 'provokes' men. I just don't understand why women are shamed and looked down upon when things like that occur to them. It seriously infuriates me. I could go on and on about how much this angers me but this post is already quite long.
- Because I am a girl I have to fight to have equal rights. Makes sense because men are capable of way more! Women are less than men, anyway.
Feminism is so important. Equal rights for men and women are needed. Equal respect for men and women is needed. Equality is needed. Equality is needed. Equality is needed. It baffles me that we as women have to fight for our right to be viewed as equal. What does that say out the society we live in? What does that say about the way women are viewed?
As a young woman I personally consider myself a feminist. I believe that we need this. I believe that we as women are such a powerful group. I believe that we have a voice and it needs to be heard. Women are so bad ass and we need people to see that! As women, we need to show love to ourselves as well as others! We need to be there for each other and provide each other with love and support.
Because I am a girl I can, I will, and I succeed.
Because I am a girl, I believe that if we fight for our rights together, we will help with the change.
Thanks for reading this, and make sure to follow or check back every Tuesday to see my posts. I hope you got inspired and took something away from this long post!

QUICK UPDATE
Hi guys! Happy Tuesday! It's Tuesday here in the Philippines, so that's why I'm posting this super quick update. My trip is coming to an end in about 3 days, which causes me both extreme sadness as well as happiness. I've had so many fun adventures while I've been here, and it's been such a great experience to stay here for a month. I'm honestly so blessed and happy to be living the life that I'm am living, and to be surrounded by the loving and caring people that I am surrounded by. I will also be posting some pictures and stuff from my trip once I get back, so y'all can see some of the fun adventures I had whilst being here :-)
Now, as for the posts, I'm not so sure about what happened. Unfortunately for me, the internet connection here hasn't been the greatest, so I wasn't able to post. Though, it seems as if there were hardly any posts made on the blog anyway. BUT I hoped you missed us, because we will surely begin getting into the swing of things again! We already have a bunch of themed weeks planned for the next few months, so get ready.
Also, I hope you all had an amazing holiday season, as well as an amazing new year!
See you next Tuesday!

Hey guys, happy Tuesday! This week was decided to be a week dedicated to things that we've learned since being in high school! I'm not going to take this theme literally though, as I feel like I would end up boring all of you with stuff about our government, or chemical reactions... Or stuff like that. (By the way, high school in Canada starts in grade 10, not grade 9. That being said, these tips would definitely help you no matter what the grade!)
The first thing I learned was to not procrastinate! Seriously, this is super important! Though it may seem like pushing it off to the next day is fine, it's actually not. I mean when it comes down to it, the more you put it off, the more stress you're putting onto yourself. Finishing assigned things on time will make for a happier you in the long run! Also, it gives you some extra time to accurately read through and analyze your assignments, which could definitely bring your mark up!
Next thing I learned is that there are a lot of stupid people in school. No matter where you go, who you're with, or what your mindset is, there will always be that one annoying person who just gets to you. Let's be real, you probably want to tell them off in the biggest and best way possible. I advise not to do that though! Remember, high school is merely a speck in your school life. It's only three years. Why make enemies when you could just blow it off and ignore any and all annoyances? Try your best to focus more on school than planning out your ultimate revenge on people. Hey, at least try your best to make friends because who doesn't like meeting new people?
Also, another tip is to plan out your routes so you can quickly and easily get from class to class without struggle. It's also a pretty good idea to pack up 2-3 minutes beforfe the bell, so you're out of class early and you don't get stuck in all the crazy traffic that comes with class changes. Also, its kind of embarrassing to walk into class late, especially since people stare at you as if there are lasers coming out from their eyes. Another thing I learned is to be friend your teachers! Not in some weird creepy way, but just be friend them in a way that you are able to talk to them about grades, assignments, etc. It's way easier to learn from a teacher that you like. It's also easier to ask questions to a teacher when you're comfortable with them. And hey, being able to freely talk to a teacher is awesome! That being said, do try to make friends in your classes! Trust me, I've had my share of lonely classes, which leads to my next point.
Fourth thing I learned is to try and make friends in your classes. This is actually so important. I had numerous classes in my grade 10 year when I literally sat alone, in silence, trying to avoid eye contact with other people and just counting down the minutes until I could talk to one of my friends. Though it is an unfortunate event, it's very much real. This leads to the idea that if you do notice someone like that, then talk to them! If you are someone like that, then try your best to open up a bit and talk to people more. Being lonely for those long classes is definitely quite sad, especially when you see everyone socializing and enjoying themselves. Hey, it's way easier to talk, speak up, and ask questions when you're comfortable with the people in your class!
Finally, we've reached the last thing I learned. High school is scary... Especially your first year. The big change from junior high to high school, the pressure of deciding what you want to do after you graduate, the pressure you receive from parents, the stress and anxiety, the blah blah blah... There's a lot on your plate. It's understandable. Just try to enjoy the years that you have in high school. Sure you're friends with many people now, but once you get to university, it's a whole new ball game. The people you're with soon disappear in the crowd of students that attend your university. Just remember to enjoy your 3 years of school with your friends, and try your best to get rid of all that built up stress and anxiety. Though it may suck now, you're gonna miss high school.
Anyway, I hope this post wasn't too boring to read. Also, I really hope that this helped at least one of you. Remember, this was only about the first year, and I've learned a lot more in my current year of grade 11. Though it may seem like your school life is an endless whole of anxiety and stress, remember that you'll be absolutely fine if you have the right people and do the right things! Hope you had an amazing day, and I'll see you next Tuesday. ♡Tonirose ♡
Hi wonderful people of the internet! I'm Tonirose, also known as the girl who is in charge of posting on Tuesdays! This week on Youth Undefined, we chose to do introduction week so you guys, as the readers can be aware of the people in charge of this glorious blog. Here's a few not so interesting facts about yours truly. I'm currently 16 in the 11th grade. I'm struggling, but I'm pulling through with quite decent grades. I want to be a veterinarian when I grow up, as I truly love and adore all animals. It has been a dream of mine to be able to help our furry little friends. Also, I'm pretty sure I'll grow up to be some crazy cat lady or something along those lines because I seriously love cats so much. My current favourite shows include Parks and Recreation, Community, and American Horror Story. I would like to consider myself a feminist, as I am all for gender equality and women's rights. I would definitely consider myself an opinionated person. I am someone who will fight for something I believe in, and won't give up on what I believe. I do think that I am someone who is easy to talk to, as well as someone who gives quite good advice. In all honesty, if you do need advice, I'd happily give you some! I am not a trend follower, nor a trend setter. I kind of just do what I feel like, and dress how I like; I don't follow the latest trends at all. I am very interested in all things beauty (hair, makeup, etc.) I am quite a versatile person when it comes to the type of music I listen to. My music taste ranges from The 1975 to 5 Seconds Of Summer. I like exploring and finding new music to listen to, as I believe that music is such a universal thing and it connects everyone in a way. I am definitely a fan girl when it comes to 5 Seconds of Summer and the Janoskians. They're seriously the best and worst people that have entered my life. Best because they're just so wonderful and they make me happy, but worst because I haven't met them yet and it makes me so frustrated! I actually really love writing and reading poetry. Since I was little, it was a little dream of mine to have my poetry displayed in a book, or praised by many! I actually have a little black journal that I use to write poetry. I write about anything and everything, really. Honestly, the reason why I really wanted to start this blog is because I want to change lives. I want my words to be so powerful that those who read them will be inspired to be a better person, or have a different outlook on things. Really, changing one person's life would definitely make me extremely happy. I have millions of thoughts in my head, just waiting to be put into words and shared with the many people of the world. I hope you enjoy reading my, as well as my fellow bloggers' interesting and opinionated posts! See you next Tuesday! -Tonirose
