With those words for inspiration, I began preparing more than I had before, which is to say that I started training for the first time in my life. I ran each evening. I ran on the weekends. I ran through neighborhoods, down country roads, in sun and rain, day and night. I ran every day for more minutes and more miles than I thought possible.

Tom Foreman is an award winning journalist and CNN correspondent. When his 18 year old daughter suggests they run a marathon he is hooked. If you love to run, then this is the book for you. It was unputdownable – yes that is a word –my dictionary app had it for yesterday – and means exactly what it sounds like in regards to books. I will be using it more often from now on!
