Unrelated to all other recent projects, I finally got a power adapter for the #atari 2600 that's been sitting here for the past decade. Now I just need someone to slip a #pong cartridge under the x-mas tree. Meanwhile, I've got #asteroids #pacman #poleposition and a few other games I never heard of to keep me entertained. After a lot longer than it should have taken, my #dungeonsanddragons #carpentry project is finally on the #todonelist. Seemed like a tree bookshelf would be great to keep my frequently-referenced books out of harm's way, but good luck finding one sized for gaming books. Took a little break from other projects to try and clear a few things off my side table and finally added this fix to the #todonelist. This #retrogaming #NES cartridge broke both of the pieces that hold the PCB in place. It was a former rental, so really, don't just #bekindrewind, don't hammer games into your console either! Today I used my freedom to hang a #shelf I've wanted for more than 10 years. The wall is poured concrete and not quite vertical, so putting up brackets for an 8' shelf is a bit daunting. Instead, I skipped right over that step and suspended it from the ceiling. Trick was finding the right tools and hardware to make it possible (and level and safe). There's plenty wrong in the world, but we're also living in a time where we have such access to information and technology, nearly anything you can imagine is possible if you put in enough time and effort.
