For our last lunch in Denver on vacation we thought we’d hit an old favorite, Tocabe. Longtime readers will probably recognize their Indian fry bread taco since I have to take a pic of it every time I come here. Thanks @tocabe ! #lunchtimeadventures #lunch #tocabe #denvereats #denverfoodie #colorado #tastetherainbow #foodie #foodgasm #foodpics #foodporn #food #frybreadtaco #taco #indiantacos #yummy (at Tocabe, An American Indian Eatery)
What's your favorite restaurant that you've ever been to? What entree did you get?
I’m not one for fancy restaurants, but my all time favorite place I’ve gone to eat was a place called Tocabe. It’s a Native American restaurant in Colorado, and the food was so magnificent that we actually went back twice when we were on our holiday.
It’s not an entree as such, but this delightful mess is an open taco, consisting of shredded buffalo, some kind of beans, sauce, salads and to kinds of salsa, one of which had pumpkin in it. All of that sits on top of something called frybread, which I hadn’t encountered before, but was the best.
It’s a long way for me to go, from Australia to Colorado, but I would just about consider it worth the trip.
[Is that a "Guy Fieri for president" -- -Yes. -That's great. -Right in the bowling alley? -That's for you, Guy. We've got Ben from Tocabe, and we've got the one and only Giovanni]
