self indulgennnttt . . . also this may be ooc. i’m mediocre at writing and this is my first time publicly posting my work.

animals have always been a big source of comfort for toby. they were there when no one else was, they didn’t judge him, didn’t yell at him. he’s always had a soft spot for animals, and it became much more of a problem when he moved in.

he didn’t live by himself anymore, now he had somebody questioning him whenever he came back inside with a creature. toby is always trying to bring every critter he sees back inside with him, whether it be a stray cat, or a bird. you’ve had to chase him back out of the house oh so, so many times, it could be considered a routine.

when he’s not trying to bring them home, toby is around, or looking at animals as much as he can. playing with the strays, on all fours searching for bugs, feeding the birds . . hes tried so many times to get you out there with him, mostly to butter you up into keeping one of the strays he’s befriended.

toby drags you outside, making you sit beside him while he holds the animal, making you pet it at least once. “thh. . they’re cute, aren’t-t they?” he’s smiling ear to ear, tilting his head to the side.

even if you’re not out there with him, he’s still trying to get you warmed up to the animals. he’ll give you updates on how they’re doing, if he’s named them, and how comfortable they are around him. “the ca-cat down the street let mm. . me pet her.” toby will announce as he walks through the door, taking off his shoes. ㅤ❤︎‬
