To serve as a wee bit of context I want to talk about Onslaught and how if they did the parallels they drew to the original Onslaught plotline with the end of season one verses what it seems like they're building to.
So, in the comics, Onslaught is a major villain who happens when, in a desperate last ditch effort- and a lot of anger- Charles basically absorbs Magneto's psyche and thus his rage and it became another psychic entity inside of him. This also leaves Magnus catatonic. He snaps and does this because Magnus rips the metal from Wolverine's bones.
So, very similar to what happened at the end of season one, except Charles succeeds in what he was trying to do in the comics and so, no Onslaught! Yay!
Bringing us to now. Charles is clearly connected to Magnus' mind while he dies, and is clearly fucking distraught. The way he fucking snapped at Apocalypse in a way we've never seen before.
If we get an Onslaught that is a result of Charles' love and grief for Magnus instead of rage and hatred I am so fucking here for it.
And the way that they made the original origin of Onslaught into the meaningful moment between Charles and Magnus that it was? Especially if they're running with what it looks like they are?? I FW IT HEAVYYYY.
God I've been seeing a lot of theories that Xavier is going to become Onslaught in the latter half of 97s2 and the idea of Onslaught in this universe being born not from his hatred and anger at Magneto, but his grief and love for Magnus??? Peak. Honestly.
I think I've said this before, but Jessica Jones is too well done.
Killgrave is such an unsettling villain. Jessica's trauma is represented so well that it's genuinely uncomfortable to watch. I watched it once like a year ago and I went back into it thinking I was prepared- it's genuinely unsettling. Like, that bone deep unsettling feeling that nothing else seems to evoke.
"Oh but Radiostatic is toxic!" mhm. "BUT But- Vox is a terrible person- and Alastor-" SHUT UP. I LIKE THEM THAT WAY. I WANT THEM TO BE EVIL AND HORRIBLE. I LIKE THEM LIKE THAT. THATS THE POINT.
"Oh but Vox did all that to Angel-" YES HES A BAD PERSON. THAT'S MY EMOTIONAL SUPPORT EVIL MAN. SHUSH. QUIET.

Ok one long post before i float off into the night. Now look, maybe I'm just radiostadic pilled and shipbrained but hear me out. That was not just a business proposal- and I will site evidence! - That little scoot closer? That "We've been close for a few years now... right?" I mean do I have to explain? - That mix of giddiness and nervousness Vox has? His adoring little smile when he thinks Al isn't looking? His fidgeting (With where his hair would be if he wasn't... you know... a TV)? I mean just look at him the whole time! - The emphasis he puts on the word partners there at the end. Enough said there.
And now you may be asking "Why wouldn't he just say it? Why make it so complicated?" And to that my friend we have to look at the timeframe. This would be early-mid 1900's so like you know not a great time to be gay, especially if you were a public figure- even in hell. So I think Vox was testing the waters a little, seeing if Al would catch on and also making sure everybody else in the bar was none the wiser to what he was really saying- only of course to get brutally rejected but still.
ALSO he could have been trying to not say it directly so a rejection would also be less direct. If you don't actually ask for something you can't be told no, if you just hint that you want something and nothing happens you can convince yourself that maybe they just don't see it... that didn't go so well for him but the idea is still there.
So, I've been seeing a lot of "Vox and Alastor are each other's punishment." VS "They are their own punishment, and if put together is the only chance to really be happy."
HOWEVER. These two are not mutually exclusive. No, no, no.
Vox and Alastor as each other's punishment in the way that Chidi and Eleanor were each other's "Punishment."
I've been thinking about this so much.
The fact that Vox was able to get a genuine smile- a genuine laugh from Alastor?? That is such an important detail of their bond to me because I don't think we've seen anyone else do that but maybe Rosie.
AND HIS LITTLE NERVOUS SMILE- THE ANTETNE BUZZING???
