That girl is a fighter through and through and yes, she likes healing and would definitely heal others. Something that wouldn't happen would be her just sitting and healing people instead of just going and fighting villains. I get that she's old and in her 80s but Bumi was 112 and Pakku was also a really old man when they fought firefighters during Sozin's comet and won. So don't tell me that the best waterbender in the world that worked hard so that she could learn waterbending, fought people, and when Aang's being a good person stuff didn't work so she froze people to get answers would just sit back and become a healer that doesn't fight.

like in ATLA, the past lives were barely helpful. most of the time it whittled down to “do what you think is right” or “restore balance/peace” which isn’t actually informative.

Roku did the most of the past lives in Aang’s time, explaining his relationship with Sozin.

With Korra, Aang was the only one who ever spoke to her, let alone give her helpful info. He’s the one who informed her about Yakone, and who helped her connect to the Avatar State.

With Pavi, she’ll still have Korra to help her navigate the world; it’s not like she’ll be left in the dark. And the other past lives wouldn’t be remotely helpful.

Korra lived in a time where the industrial revolution was taking place; her being sheltered, and raised in an environment that hadn’t moved forward, she had to learn how to navigate her world, which the past lives couldn’t have helped her with.

Well, for one, the characters aren't the same, and therefore are immediately not as lovable or relatable as the original cast, simply because once you are attached to a show's cast, no replacements will ever be the same.

But the major thing that bugs me is that, one of the components I loved most about ATLA was it's incorporation of Asian elements, and the simplicity of everyday life, which mostly just emphasized the conflicts.
