Honestly, we can't predict the endgame ships based on the first book in a series. I remember that after Lady Midnight and in the year leading up to Lord of Shadows, a lot of us thought that Mark and Kieran were over for good, not to mention that Simon and Isabelle were not even a plausible couple in the first few TMI books. So I'm not gonna stress too much about the ships in tlkof. I will be stressing over Livvy's situation. That ordeal has me scared.

An unpopular opinion
An unpopular opinion: I like LOK more than ATLA.
Why?
- In ATLA, there is one main villain: Ozai. A typical power-hungry overlord who wants to take over the world. Korra deals with a whole spectrum of villains, all of which are more relatable than Ozai.
- I prefer the pacing in LOK: 4 shorter seasons rather than 3 longer seasons. 12 episodes is enough to accomplish all the season’s goals and still throw in some random stuff for fun.
- Gaang can be described as a group of early teens travelling the world and having adventures – with hardly any supervision from adults. I know they were forced to grow up fast, but to see such young people fighting in a war makes me sad. I am more comfortable with the older cast of Krew dealing with this kind of stuff.
(This one might be a psychological thing. When I was 15 I wrote a story about teenage modern ninjas (inspired by Naruto, yes) and asked my father for a review. He liked my writing, but was not okay with the concept of children wanting to be soldiers. 11 years later, I suppose he was right.)
Also, for the record: I did see LOK before ATLA. With the exception of season 4, which was still a work in progress.
can i just say that mako's quick thinking when he was down in the watery caves was genius? like katara-luring-azula-to-the-water-grate genius; when he jumped down the hole after ming hua and splashed in the water i was convinced that he was screwed because water was HER territory, you know? but then after she turned all hydro-octupus he uSED THE HIGHLY CONDUCTIVE PROPERTIES OF WATER AGAINST HER AND ELECTROCUTED HER IN HER OWN DOMAIN LIKE WHOAAAA SCIENCE and there were no words to describe how much in awe i was of mako just then. like all the past times that i've hated him just melted away and then he went back for bolin. so yeah, team mako uwu
