#tiny hexies

I started hand quilting my batik table runner last night. I made this back in 2014 and put it aside to quilt when I got a better sewing machine. I never got the fancy machine so I have decided to hand quilt this and get it out of my cupboard and onto my table. The batting is a bit too thick for hand quilting but I didn't realise that until I had struggled through an evening of quilting. I was blaming the needle I was using but I thought about it later and I think it is the batting. I can either unpick all my stitches and replace the batting or I can just keep going. Hmmm something to think about while I do the housework this afternoon.

I originally started this little half inch hexies two or three years ago to use up the leftover rainbow colour hexies I had from what I used for my little double pointed needle case, I had originally planned on using hexies on both sides but changed my mind, as a result I had left overs. I'm still not 100% sure what I'll make this into, maybe I'll make another hand sewing supply case, like a hussif, and applique it onto the front? Any and all suggestions are welcome.

I have not given up on chipping away at my pile of UFO's. Progress is slow but I am making progress. I have been hand quilting my tiny hexie table runner.
