Thank you to @elesianneâ for allowing me to paint your OC, Tinweriel <3
Inspired by her fic Consonance. It's about Maglor and his future wife Tinweriel.
I used this reference for the painting. Iâm terrible at figuring out backgrounds, btw.Â
Makalaurë & Tinweriel fic-thing
Inspired by Sappho again (tr. Anne Carson), this time a little differently: this incorporates several fragments, putting them in MakalaurĂ« and Tinwerielâs mouths and using them to weave some small scenes during their engagement and wedding.
Sappho wrote poems that were sung with the accompaniment of a lyre. That is perfect for these characters, isnât it?
412 words including Sapphoâs. Rating Teenage audiences and up.

O beautiful O graceful one
when you dance you fill me with longing', Makalaurë tells her after one of her performances. 'The way you move your limbs and body is as much music as the music you dance to.'
'When I know that you are watching I am filled with a new grace and fire', she confides to him, lips maddeningly close to his ear.
He swallows. 'Half a year until our wedding', he says, making it sound like a century.

She likes thinking of epithets for him, and teasing him with them by calling him by them at strange moments.

she calls him when he forgets a line of lyrics in the middle of rehearsals,
Tinweriel learns to wield a sword as soon as her husband Maglor does. And sheâs the kind of dramatic and feminine lady who decides to learn to do it also while wearing a full-length dress so she ends up actually being a bit better a fighter than her husband (who is renowned for his swordsmanship).

A Silmarillion fanfic â chapter two
Summary: When tensions rise in Tirion, Amrod and Amras unwind with a quiet evening at home and keep company to surprise visitors.
Wordcount: ~1,100 words; Rating: Teenage and up audiences
Some keywords: family, drinking, unrest of the NoldorÂ
A/N: Iâm posting a subtly-improved version of another drinking-themed prompt fill from a couple of days ago on AO3 as second chapter to Noldorin red so I decided to repost it here too. Banner photo by Marek Studzinski on Unsplash.
This takes place when the tensions among the Noldor are beginning to emerge. Itâs a quiet sort of a little fic.
Telvo = Telufinwë = Amras; Pityo = Pityafinwë = Amrod; Tyelko = Tyelkormo = Celegorm; Makalaurë = Maglor

Noldorin red II â Brotherly brooding
âAre you drunk?â
As it happens, Pityo isnât drunk, just spending some quiet time in his room. He wouldnât mind being drunk, he realises.
He lifts his head to ask, 'Do you want to â damn, Ambarussa, what happened to you?â
Telvoâs face is bruised and swollen. Pityo gets up and inspects it. 'I donât think your nose is broken, but you should go and get some ice for it anyway.â
'Itâll heal soon enough. It's my own fault, anyway.â
Pityo takes one more look at him, sighs, and goes dig out the bottle of strong spirits from the deep trunk in the corner where they keep the things theyâd most like to hide from their brothers. It doesnât always succeed, of course, especially since Tyelko likes to 'borrowâ things without asking for permission, but this time the bottle is still where Pityo stashed it some weeks ago.

A Silmarillion fanfic for Tolkien Decameron project
Summary: Three tiny scenes of Maglor, Caranthir and Curufin carving promises into betrothal and wedding rings for their respective brides.
This works as a standalone fic though it is part of my Fëanorian marriages series.
Length: ~900 words; Rating: General audiences; Some keywords: romance, fluff, betrothal
A/N: I went through my WIPs to find something happy for Tolkien Decameron Project and found this. Maglor and Caranthir's rings were already described in Your spirit calling out to mine but here are more details.

Rings of promise
   I â MakalaurĂ« to Tinweriel Â
When Tinweriel promises to marry him, Makalaurë begins writing a song for her. He has written her many songs before, of course, but this song will surpass them all.
It does not take long for him to finish it, surprisingly. Or perhaps not: he had it all in his heart already. Composing was more of a matter of arranging his feelings for the harp.
But after he finishes it, he still wants to do more, and decides to carve a promise into the betrothal ring he is making for her.
Some carve words into their rings of promise, some do not. Makalaurë initially thought that he might not but when he thinks of the words, simple and true, he knows he wants them made physical, not only spoken or sung. It is an usual desire for him but feels right this time.
Tinweriel â wife of Maglor
From a Noldorin-Falmarin noblewoman musician and lover of dramatic dresses to fierce Fëanorian supporter, skilled swordswoman, and stalwart of strength for Maglor for centuries
(Tinweriel appears in my fics Consonance and Until the breaking of the world, as well as many stories that so far live only in my head)
