It was a fine, sunny day in Fourth Age Valinor. Feanor and Nerdanel were having tea in the garden with Turgon and Elenwe. The triplets, however, were restless. They wanted to go and play in the nearby field.
They decided to play with their new toy swords. Turgon had made sure these toys were safe; with rounded ends. He told the elflings they could fight pretend monsters, but they weren't to fight each other. They agreed readily.
But as the triplets set off to the field, they heard an excited shout. Little Alwe, Feanor and Nerdanel's elfling, wanted to join in too! She followed Ladi, holding onto her hammer soft toy that Feanor made for her. Ladi wasn't too sure about this, but the girls thought it would be fun for Alwe to join in with them.
(Feanor hoped that Alwe had grown out of her habit of bopping others with her toy hammer. He chose not to mention this to Turgon!)
