its kinda a shame how later alligator is structured because since there are so many gators it feels like none of them really have an adequate amount of interactions and dialogue with the exception of pat. idk how likely this is but i hope theres a sequel someday so the characters can be explored more, especially joanie and lizzy's relationship cuz i think theyre cute together
I just watched a tiktok video of some guy destroying a model t for views. He was joking about how he was destroying it and how "oldies" were gonna get mad at him. There were only ten comments, all of him ridiculing him about how someone could have loved and appreciated that car. He uploaded a full video of destroying another poor Lizzy on YouTube and Facebook with a backhoe. At least he wasn't able to fully destroy both of the beloved Lizzies. It hurts me and many others to see a precious piece of history be destroyed all for internet fame. May those two beautiful Tin Lizzies rest in peace. :(

In 1972 bracht de Ierse rockband Thin Lizzy twee albums uit en geen van beide had de wereld in vuur en vlam gezet. Ze hadden een hit nodig – iets anders, iets nieuws. Op een middag, tijdens een pauze van het repeteren in een kamer boven een pub in het Londense King's Cross, begon frontman Phil Lynott te rommelen en zong hij een traditionele Ierse ballad die hij kende uit de pubs van Dublin. De andere twee bandleden, gitarist Eric Bell en drummer Brian Downey, deden mee.
'Whiskey in the Jar’ gaat over een struikrover. De details variëren, maar de essentie is dat de outlaw-verteller een militair berooft en de buit mee naar huis neemt voor zijn geliefde, die hem prompt verraadt. Onze held belandt in de gevangenis. De precieze oorsprong ervan is onduidelijk, maar het zou geïnspireerd kunnen zijn door de heldendaden van Patrick Fleming, een struikrover die in 1650 in Dublin werd geëxecuteerd. De Amerikaanse musicoloog Alan Lomax speculeerde zelfs – en het is pure speculatie – dat John Gay The Beggar's Opera in 1728 schreef nadat een versie ervan te horen. Het vroegste exemplaar in de collectie ballades van de Bodleian Library dateert van rond 1840. Volksmuziekonderzoeker Steve Gardham dateert een exemplaar in de Madden-collectie rond 1800.

part of me wants to answer this with something for kate but that felt. predictable. most of my ocs aren’t very particular about their appearance - R5-24 is the first exception that comes to mind, though that’s never so much about personal choice - out in the wasteland, he’s very aware of how other people look at him - and the less he’s noticed, the better, he maintains.
Evelyn is probably next up on the list. I wouldn’t call her fussy but she definitely cares, to a certain degree, even after she’s a ghoul/
