Young Alicent AU: By some mystical magic, Alicent once again became the young comely lady she was- No longer the stern Queen-Mother.
I - AEGON
Aegon found out about this quite terrifying transformation when he was drunk one night and stumble upon the small council meeting room where he heard worried and frustrated whispers of 3 people and then opens the door rather impulsively and sees Otto and his father who rarely sees. What he didn't expect is to see the young girl whose auburn locks looks so familiar. His mother but not quite.
He recognizes her in a minute. He's the eldest after all. His mother's first-born and the one who remembers most of her youthful years when she wasn't even supposed to have children.
"Mother?" He blurts out.
They all turn to that weak and confused voice.
Viserys' emotion unreadable but Otto's eyes were wide. It wasn't meant to be known so soon. It hurts Aegon's feelings that Alicent seem to have no recollection of who he is as her frown deepens further.
"Who's he, father?" Alicent asks.
"He's... he's your son, my daughter." Otto croaks out before marching towards Aegon, grabbing arm harshly that Alicent flinches.
"You don't tell anyone else, boy." Otto whispers to him threateningly. "Do you understand?"
Aegon only stutters, quite confused and mind-fucked by this situation. "What happened?"
"I said-" He pulls his arm further. "Do you understand?"
"Yes.." Aegon gulps. "Yes, grandfather."
Aegon's eyes fall back again at the young girl whose brown doe eyes widen, trying to call back her father.
Otto walks away from Aegon and looks at his daughter then to Viserys who sat on the carefully intricated wooden chair for the King. The two men made it known that no one else should know of this- of the return of lady Alicent.
Slowly but surely, Aegon tries to guide Alicent with the present times. How she is his mother and she has 3 other children. She's more connected with her religion than ever and she isn't the warm and happy girl she once was.
Alicent finds comfort in Aegon's eagerness for him to finally get the affections he so tried to look for. She tries to be motherly by waking him up early, preparing his clothes and jewels for the day, and even reading to him.
Otto Hightower notices that Aegon barely goes to his daily brothel trips.
