was talking with my friend abt timeflash and like honestly. at least in the beginning of their relationship they(timeman and flashman) were like sooooo not healthy for each other like holy shit. cause yknow aside from the fact they hated each other for a while, and are still unpacking being deeply envious of each other, i also think their dynamic was just. so not good for each other to start. flashman measured his worth based on his strength and power, but now instead of his ability to defeat others its now about how good he is at protecting timeman others, and he still hasnt quite unlearned that his life has other values outside of power. and timeman fucking hates himself so he immediately latches onto that affection even if he tries to act aloof about it, he basically solely relies on flashman for any sense of self worth. flashman is so overprotective it borders on possessiveness, and timeman is practically codependent on flash. the only reason they made it work out in the end is because neither of them wanted to lose the other, but their relationship wasnt sustainable as it was
