#grandman

I normally don't post here about my game, Grandman, but I'm more active here than I am on twitter (in terms of liking/following/blah blah) so I think I'll start posting here too.

Just for starters though, Grandman is a physics platformer where you can grab & throw stuff. The movement is supposed to be so free-form that you can find your own solutions to levels, rather than just going from point A to point B. No movement is canned, things flow from one movement into another like butter and there's a wide variety of tech to squeeze efficiency out of your movement. Assuming you want to, of course, the levels are easy and pretty to get through if you don't wanna sweat it.

The game is currently undergoing a massive overhaul to movement (which I'm nearing the tail end of) and the engine itself, since the last build I released sometime in 2021~ish was not the direction I wanted so I threw most of it out.

At the risk of sounding annoying, the levels are going for a sort of "liminal" appeal and the backgrounds are very large to make the world feel real and abstract. I want existing in the space that the level provides to be enjoyable within itself.
