Auckland born, Melbourne bound Tim Coster
NK37: Tim Coster "Mediterranean Years" c30 - SOLD OUT
Had the great pleasure of witnessing this Auckland/Melbourne charmer play a show at my house earlier this year while on his US tour. With a background in fine art sculpture, his suitcase set with tiny modular synthesizer, looping pedals, keyboard, and accoutrements laid out on the floor looked sufficiently feng shui as the sound drifted slowly out into the room and enveloped the crowd in a lulling cloud that was imbued with folk sensibility and fervor, in addition to restraint. Mediterranean Years includes material he recorded in Echo Park on that trip, and it's as if he bottled that luminescent cloud and transferred it to tape, still moving, slowly dissipating. Edition of 80 pro-dubbed tapes with letterpress / risograph artwork. - SOLD OUT - A Peach Prism Compliments B Mediterranean Years We

Saw this band open for Peaking Lights a year or so ago at YOBS in Tempe. It was really cool, soft noise loop work, done by Jane Austen and Tim Coster. Seeing Currer Bells was sort of a magical experience, quiet house show, tarot card reading, band from New Zealand. Ultimate interaction with not only global artists but cool human beings as well.Â
I picked up their five song full length CD "Plays" after their set and listened to it quite a bit. Recently I have rediscovered this gem and would like to inform the world of its existence!Â
More info on Currer Bells Here!
