Fanfic Idea 2
Fandom: Kungfu Panda movies.
AU where Po and Tigeress where dating (more like in a situationship) before the 1st movie started and how that complicates all the events of the movies.
Po would be less star struck by Shifu as he's aware of how strict Shifu gets and doesn't like the effect it has on Tigeress. Still has his insecurities from the movie but there's an added layer of hurt cuz his relationship with Tigeress is secret and he blames himself. This gets better by the end of the 1st movie but still stretches into the 2nd where he finally confronts Tigeress on it. The 1st movie will focus on him butting head with Shifu, the rest of the furious 5 and his own insecurities. 2nd will follow him confronting Tigeress and his past.
Tigeress in the 1st movie would be trying to hide her relationship with Po while also juggling her jealousy of him being the dragon warrior. This leads to her being extra mean when confronting him in front of others. She later realised her mistakes (after getting beat up by Tai Lung; is the name correct?) and becomes proud of him. They officially start dating but she still wants it secret. 2nd movie has her confronting her fears and her relationships. She learns to stand proud and comes out to her family on everything with Po and how she feels.
Shifu gets called out by Po during the 1st movie on his strictness and he and Po end up becoming friends at the end. 2nd movie follows his attempts to reconcile with Tigeress and be a better mentor.
Furious 5 gang are mostly there for comedy but they are family and care deeply for Tigeress. 1st movie, they follow canon but are also worried about Tigeress and can tell something is up. 2nd movie, they're convinced that there is something between Po and Tigeress and comedically try to find out what. They end up confronting Tigeress, have an emotional moment and coming together to defeat Shen.
Tigeress and Po's relationship doesn't need to be romantic but he's her no. 1 and she, his; it just takes a while for them to get to a point where they can be honest to themselves and each other on it. The villains play a contrasting role but I can't think of anything.
