On Friday 15th August 2025 I attended ‘The Ineffable Con 6’ in person. It was AMAZING, just as brilliant (perhaps even more-so than last year)!!! Naturally, here is a post convention photo deluge. Consider yourselves duly warned 😆
Firstly we have a few shots of my arrival to the venue (the gorgeous Moor Hall in Cookham), with a peek at the games/lounge room which was filled with 'zines (including this year's TIC 'zine which included a fic by yours truly 😉), fan-made games, and the return of Giant Snake Crowley who was there to sit upon and/or cuddle with.
The Friday evening was a lot of fun. We had a barbecue in the hotel grounds, and the Opening Ceremony was fantastic (with the video I previously posted 'L.O.V.E.' (to the tune of Y.M.C.A. with edited Good Omens themed lyrics). We also had a teasing change to our programme, which hinted at a 'surprise guest' on Sunday!
Saturday, I dressed as Anathema again and was given plenty of lovely friendship bracelets (the scrumptious one is from last year):
There was a suggestion box provided by @mister-a-z-fell (I'm fairly certain nearly all the suggestions for him were along the same line)! And I got to hold the Ineffa'bear'le Duo which someone had created:
There was tea and apple tasting, lots of scrumptious food as always, and the panels and company were all second to none! We even had a magician perform for us after dinner as evening entertainment. She was fantastic!
On Sunday I got to meet Custard Cream and Pratchett the snakes (among other reptiles), saw the Celestial Edition of the Good Omens novel (very rare and pricey) that @mister-a-z-fell had kindly brought along for people to admire:
We then watched a fan-made video 'Hambleden the Musical' for which I did some voice acting and singing as 'the fans'. It was a huge hit! All of us involved in its' creation were overwhelmed with how kind and enthusiastic everyone who watched it were. (For those not in the know, it (very loosely) chronicled events that took place last year at TIC5 when a group of us visited Hambleden, the village that was used as Tadfield in Good Omens S1, following the end of the convention. We all had a lovely time before we encountered a real-life version of R.P. Tyler (and his daughter)). We decided to make a musical of it using re-imagined Queen songs, it was just SO MUCH FUN to create). I do have to say, the folks in our group who were in charge of the lyrics and the art are honestly creative geniuses and I would love just a little of that skill and talent!
Edit: ‘Hambleden the Musical’ is now on YouTube for your viewing pleasure! 😁💕 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JLb9q566yjY
And then came the biggest surprise of all: Sunday's special secret guest was none other than Rob Wilkins himself!!!:
I'll put the rest under a read-more to save your dashboards and prevent possible spoilers if you want to avoid them...
