where have you been? i went to get aye back to class. i didn't want him to miss another test. why? what's the matter? nothing. i just came to see you. i'm afraid aye might talk you into joining that gang. oh, that. let's get back to class. alright, let's go.
Watching Thua finally find his voice only to never realize that his voice has to only be his own, not more than that, not everyone's voice is a struggle and I feel for him and trying to prove what's happening, trying to finally feel free to speak his mind but not knowing when to stop because he's been pushed so far again and again.
Yes, Thua was absolutely wrong to out Akk and Ayan. And he shouldn't have done that, shouldn't have even considered it. But he's also a teenager, also young, Ayan outed him to his mother as his first act of friendship... Thua doesn't have anyone to look to to know the right thing to do.
And he's been holding back so much for so long.
This is not an apology for him. Thua should not have outed them and he went too far trying to find a way to stop the injustice he saw happening, he broke everything he should not have broken and he hurt his friends.
But he's so tired of being lied to and of lying and he knows how much the curse has been hurting Kan and has been hurting other people he cares about... And he went too far and he hurt people and hurt people hurt people, scared people hurt people, desperate people hurt people and they hurt the people they care about and they hurt the people they love.
Akk was scared when he acted on the curse, Kan was scared of the curse. They hurt people. Thua was scared of falling back into being unheard, of falling back into silence, and he pushed too far because he didn't want to turn back.
And that's Thua. Thua who went too far, Thua who couldn't find it in himself to be silent any more but also couldn't truly speak and so hurt so many people because he was scared of silence but scared of his own voice as well.
Thua hurt so many people because he wanted to hear the truth not understanding that the truth is not the end of everything. Thua hurt the world because he was hurt and he was tired of lies but still so afraid, still so caught up in the lies that he didn't know what else to do.
Thua was wrong. Thua watched people be hurt again and again and he internalized that the only way to change was to hurt and so he hurt, so he lied, so he pushed everyone away and hurt the world because he was hurt.
The curse hurt him, kept Kan from him, kept him in the closet and aching and the only way he saw to break the curse was to hurt enough people that other people would come clean, that the truth had to come out and he was prepared to sacrifice himself for the sake of that truth, to fall with them because he knows what he did was wrong.
Thua hurts, Thua aches, and he lashes out because that is the only way he's ever seen problems get solved.
I’ve been prompted by @kittyann to give my opinion on the KanThua relationship but little did she know that she’ll hearing from the ‘Thua has never done any wrong’ club vice president (the president being one Sir Kanlong who’s been nothing but whipped boyfriend for the last 10 episodes). So consider this your warning lol.
But here is why I think Thua and Kanlong have been set up by the narrative to act/react in exactly the way they did. Let’s start with the easy bit: Kanlong accepting Thua for all that he did and proudly declaring them as boyfriends.
Kanlong and Thua have a special bond, it’s been established multiple times in the show. Their friendship isn’t particularly physical or suspicious so the narrative implies that all the teasing they face from the very get go comes particularly from this close bond they already share that everyone is aware of from before the show starts.
Kanlong next sets himself up as Thua’s caretaker by becoming Bruce Wayne [almost directly as a result of realizing that Ayan was starting to take that place when he spies on them at the Cafe For All] and his primary concern with this curse coming back has always been the way it will affect Thua. He is seen on multiple occasions to warn Thua against gaining the wrath of the curse [don’t hang out with Ayan, don’t go to the protests! Don’t join World Remembers!].
And then there is:
1) Kanlong has once already chosen Thua over everyone else. He says fuck it to BOTH the Prefect Club who were collecting names of protesters AND to the curse which we know he genuinely believed in and chooses to stand by Thua.
2) The way he inadvertently sets up this challenge for himself by saying this and Thua’s realization that Kanlong will one day find out Thua's true nature and will have to ask himself the exact same question:
So, I feel like going into Ep.11 we know that Kanlong’s love for Thua would be tested and STRONG evidence suggesting that Kanlong’s love will prevail, that he will see Thua for all he is and still find someone worth loving.
But what about Thua? How could he betray his friends? How could he out Akk so publicly while knowing what that struggle is like, while being bullied for it himself. [Thua defense squad firing away under the cut]
THEY ARE HOLDING HANDS
This is me speaking from my grave🪦

Eclipse Ep 8-12 Predictions
Ep 8, the first scene (kiss) won’t happen. Akk will probably stop the kiss and they will meet later and kiss (when exchanging feelings). I hope I am proven wrong and they kiss because the shot is so beautiful?! Excuse me.
Currently, I suspect two people the most, Namo and Thua. Namo because he wants the curse to come back and he wants the three protesters to get hit by the curse. I think this could also hint that Namo knows that Akk was behind the curse. However, the most suspicious person to me is..drumrolls pls….Thua. Thua stole the notebook. No one can convince me otherwise. He stole the notebook, read the content and was shocked to see Akk staring at Aye during the beach scene (ep 7 part 3). His reaction wasn’t that of a happy one. He didn’t smile or anything and instead looked confused.
Aye and Akk will get together but be separated soon after. Why? I think it will get revealed that Akk was behind the curse and the couple will be under heat. This is just my prediction, I could be wrong.
Wat will probably film or is filming this whole situation. Wat wants to be in the film industry, I think this would be his biggest hit. He would probably start or is documenting everything thats going on.
Akk or the previous student president was somehow involved in Dika’s situation. What I mean is, Chadok might have convinced either that Dika was a bad person and they might have resorted to similar curse measures to make Dika really anxious or depressed. I feel like there has to be something triggering that happened which made Dika, someone who was so supportive of others, to take such a big decision. What’s more surprising is that the students don’t know of his death.
Well, that’s all for today my dear Eclipse friends 💕
No coz imagine if Thua did all that crying, shaking, and throwing up, after they burned the dummy during ep 10, only for it to turn out that Thua IS the one behind the curse all along. That will be just sick and twisted. Highly entertaining, but sick behavior nonetheless 😭😭
