(The names are in order of manager and assistant manager but I am honestly open to criticism on most placements)

- Mori and River are the full store managers because they just have that energy of ‘yes I’m in charge but I really don’t want to be so please leave me alone’

- Raphael and Merrick are the floral managers bc duh

- Kite is the seafood manager, and I feel like he wouldn’t have an assistant manager in this scenario because seafood is typically the least busy department of any store (which is why it’s combined with another department 90% of the time)

- Vaulker and Thaniel give deli manager vibes, Vaulker being the incompetent manager who does nothing and Thaniel doing his entire job for less money (this one is 100% me projecting onto my blorbo but also fits so well imo). I also think Pringle has such deli clerk vibes??? He’s a prevalent character in my brain

- Shenkov and Valery are the meat managers based purely on vibes

- Joe would be catering imo (again, not sure if many stores have this, my store does but it’s the only company I know of that does it) just because catering has its hooks in pretty much every department and I feel like that’s very accurate for his character. He also wouldn’t have an assistant bc it’s not busy enough to warrant one

- January would be the Front End/Customer Service manager just because I think he’d have a lot of fun talking to a bunch of customers (and putting people in their place when need be). Honestly have no idea who would be an assistant manager for this but again I’m open to interpretation. Wait no I decided now I think Matsumoto would be great for this (still open to interpretation tho)

- Phaidros (I decided just now) would be the bakery manager because I think he’d like it and it just kinda fits his vibe in my brain

- Dionysus would probably be an e-commerce manager??? Again pure vibes (this is all pure vibes idk why I’m trying to justify it)

- Flint is the Night Crew manager who hardly anyone has seen and they make up stories about him and how he’s so mean and scary (he literally only got the job because his day job of being a priest doesn’t pay enough)

- The antagonist/villain characters (Resovskaya, Martel, Kuroda, etc) are all People From Corporate for their respective mcs’ departments because DUH

I find I can’t peel my eyes from you (You Are Not Beautiful, And Yet, Nine Worlds/Greenwing & Dart, but also Midsummer Mess by Crackfoxx, because it’s the second of two poems written by their fictional (and unbelievably terrible) in-world poet. It’s exactly what I wanted it to be, so be forewarned: it’s bad. It’s so bad.)

Good news, everyone! I'm trying to get the PDF out for public viewing/download by X-mas. If not, then by month's end at least. Still sweeping for pesky typos and figuring out formatting in the meantime. Since my usual editor is unavailable, is anyone interested in helping proof THtD?
