Three Speed October: Week 3 Ride 1

Another unexpected ride. I got a shiny new Schwalbe Delta Cruiser whitewall tire for my main commuting bike.
Changing my tire (of course) turned into a multi-hour ordeal. While I had the back wheel off, I decided I might as well true it. And found a busted spoke. Normally not a big deal, except on a Sunday when half the bike shops in the city are closed 'til Tuesday.The only shop in walking distance didn't have any spokes my size, so I pulled out my backup bike (my '52 Hercules) and rode to the next-closest and had some luck!
So the ride was a bout mile and three-quarters to PIM bicycles and back, making for a total round trip of 3.5 miles.
Bike Shop Three Speeds
Recycled Cycles near the University of Washington is often my go-to bike shop, though it is not the closest to me. As the name would suggest, Recycled Cycles buys bike parts, and the shop is full of bins of every part imaginable. They are also not just willing to work on old Three Speeds, but usually have the parts to do so. (Most other shops near me don't carry 26 x 1 3/8" tubes, for example, so I can't go to them for flat fixes)
One of the first things you notice about the shop, though, is the vintage bicycles hanging from the ceiling. And that includes some very nice Three Speeds! (Including a Hercules Tri-Tube, my favorite). Alas, none of them are for sale.
