It adds to what I mentioned about narrative hypocrisy bc like. Remember when they had Alya kissing the ground Lila stood on and in the same episode use journalistic standards of verifying claims to tut-tut Marinette for calling Lila out? And how they’ve repeatedly pulled the same shit with Alya’s character as a way to scold Marinette but without the awareness that Alya is incorrect and resembles tabloids writers and paparazzi more than real journalists due to how often they use her to push dumb plots? And they still expect us to take her seriously?
Alya has been done so dirty and lost any “wise friend” cred she had at the start of the series
The fact that they’re unironically using her as a mouthpiece to speak down to Marinette for shit the crew supports is laughable
