So, apparently we have a metal opera at home... And I've been obsessed with it for the last three weeks.
This a heroic fantasy story consisting out of 4 albums in power metal genre made by band Эпидемия (Epidemia).
The main character of the first album Эльфийская рукопись (Elven Manuscript) is the half elf named Desmond. He grew up in a closed elven kingdom named Enia. He studied magic and fell in love with the princess Alatiel.
The king couldn't allow the half-blood to enter the dynasty so he banished Desmond to the lands of humans. There he continued studying magic and befriended Thorwald the warrior.
One day Enia was invaded by Deimos the Dark Lord from another world. The king was killed, the demons filled the kingdom. Irdis, the former teacher of Desmond, escaped and reached the half elf. It became his quest to save Enia from destruction.
With Thorwald's help Desmond found the scepter of first kings of Enia. It was used to stop Deimos, who escaped back in his world.
Desmond and Alatiel reunited and Irdis ruled the kingdom as a regent.
