Hey bro can you pass me the salt?
Demetrius Desmond X gn!reader
Summary: u ain't getting no salt
The dinner looked to it's usual standard, exquisite and perfectly balanced. Not overly salty and not lacking salt either. The table setting was carefully arranged to look symmetrically perfect. So what caused the young man's mood to sour up so quickly?
The cook could swear he disappeared for mere five minutes and when he returned the table was deadly silent. Which would be normal if Demetrius Desmond haven't had his partner over.
Unknowingly to the kitchen staff, it was all your doing.
Earlier you were invited by your boyfriend for dinner at his house. And even if it wasn't the most romantic setting to dine in that unsettling mansion, it was still a moment with him. Which was precious in between final tests.
So you made it your task to make the best of every second, in your own way.
"Hey bro, can you pass me the salt?"
The room stayed completely silent with the sole exception of Demetrius's fork and knife hitting the plate. He didn't even look up, just kept eating.
As the silence stretched you could see Demetrius stopping his movements as the gears turned in his head before shifting his head towards you.
"Were you talking to me my love?"
You couldn't deduce his emotions from his face as he squinted his eyes at you.
"Yes... so pass the salt bro."
The salt was moved away even fruther from your reach and the dinner continued. But this time with Demetrius's gaze shifting towards you every once a while. You had to admit that the attention you were receiving was a good change. A welcomed change. So you made the most of it. Smiling at him enthusiastically or blowing a kiss to him which made Demetrius bite the inside of his cheek.
He was trying to stay grumpy so badly, but his facade kept showing cracks.
Before you could finish your meal he aburtly stood up and on reflex you did as well before fleeing. You were running across the whole house through the garden and even the greenhouse till eventually you turned back and ran into his room.
Your hands moved fast to lock the door and sitting on the bed with a sigh. Your peace hasn't lasted long as you noticed the window cracking before Demetrius climbed into his own room.
The gasp that escaped you was nothing compared to the warm feeling in your cheeks.
"Since when can *the* Demetrius Desmond climb into other people's room?"
Your hands moved to his shoulders and eyes to his lips. And eventually your body moved too, you could feel his breath on yours until his hand stopped you.
